Well, I am a scrapbooker. Yup. I love to spend hours cutting, pasting and putting together all the beautiful people and events in my life into a book. I have made scrapbooks for everything: from Mr Handy’s and my relationship, to one for my brothers and their careers, to one to momma for Mother’s Day, and even one for my cat.

So, when we got engaged, I knew that I would be asking my bridesmaids to be a part of our wedding in some sort of creative way.

Our colors in the beginning of our planning were going to be orange and burgundy. The pink flowered paper in the background is just an envelope that I made to send it in.

It only took me about an hour to do pages for all 3 of my girls and I loved the end product. I sent them in the mail since they are all so far away. They called me so excited about what they’d received.

Despite my diva, sassy personality, my bridesmaids are actually the complete opposite. All three of them are calm, cool and collected, which is exactly what this type-A bride will need on her big day. All but one bridesmaid are in different states, which can make this a little difficult, but we are making it work.

Matron of Honor L has been my best friend since kindergarten.  We were glued to the hip every single weekend, alternating staying between our houses. Our families were very well acquainted with each other and we became like family. Her mother is from South Carolina, and when we were 14, they decided to move back. I was crushed, but we made a pact to stay friends and to be each others’ MOHs when the time came. She wed in November, and I was her MOH just like we promised. Now, it’s her turn.

Bridesmaid T lives in the beautiful Cape May, New Jersey. We met when she lived here in Delaware. She worked in the office of the apartments we used to live in. We instantly hit it off and have been friends for the past 3 years. We take the ferry back and forth and visit each other since she moved back home last summer. She is amazing and I cant say enough good things about her.

Bridesmaid K is actually Mr. Handy’s cousin. She and her now-husband met and starting dating the exact same time as Mr Handy and I started dating (about 3 days apart). When her husband and I were introduced to the family, it was at a BBQ 6 years ago. They are now married with 2 beautiful little girls. When Mr Handy and I moved an hour downstate, she got me a job where she worked, so we see each other every day. She is very informative when it comes to this wedding stuff, given she has already gone through it.

How gorgeous are these girls?! I am pretty excited about who will be with me on my big day. I know which one of these girls will make me cry, which one will make me laugh and which one will be handing me tissues telling me to “get it together”!
