…aka, my Debbie Downer post.
My main reason for writing this post is to feed comfort to fellow brides/grooms/planners who have had less-than-perfect planning experiences.
As you may have guessed from my prior posts about family and financial issues, my planning process has been filled with many a road block. To say the least, those two issues were just the tip of the iceberg.
In our planning process we’ve been faced with other issues as well, and here’s that list:
Now, don’t get me wrong…this list could be a lot worse and I know that I am lucky to have not faced more tragic issues. In retrospect, it’s probably better that these things have happened.
They’ve made me a stronger, much more resilient person and I have learned that I am capable of getting through the tough times that life throws at me. I’ve also learned that Mr. L is truly my rock.
He has been there for every emotional outbreak and fit of frustration. And, on the plus side, there have been many positive things happening to offset the negative. I have accepted the fact that planning a wedding isn’t devoid of error and that I should expect the same for our wedding day. Things will probably go wrong. The best that I can do is roll with the punches.
