About Mrs. Argyle

Oh What a Night!

August 25th, 2010 @ 12:51 pm by Mrs. Argyle

My bachelorette festivities kicked off with me knowing nothing other than to “wear a dress and bring your ID.” Thanks to those instructions from my fab MOH, I wore a dress, and brought a clutch I found at DSW (which held my ID and phone).

The night started at my friend Molly’s house, where we sipped on a little wine, enjoyed a little appetizers and opened a few naughty gifts, one of which was a box of “nothing” or as my MOH put it, for my wedding night.

(This bow has nothing to do with my gifts—I requested it for my Halloween costume where I’ll dress as Lady Gaga)

The night continued with a car ride to somewhere of which I had no idea, followed by a fabulous dinner with 8 of my great friends (with 3 others there in spirit).

After dinner, we strolled over the casino so I could gamble for a little honeymoon money (which didn’t happen—we got sidetracked at the bar…whoops).

After the casino we took a little trip to the Big Bang (AKA, staple downtown dueling piano bar), where my fabulous friends paid the pianists a little dinero to get me on stage while they played an interesting (yet funny) song for my enjoyment. So, how do I respond? By soaking it all up.

Here I am receiving the must-have “Bang This” bumper sticker.

We finished the night off at Humphrey’s (my old college stomping grounds), where I took my plunger shot. Don’t worry, it’s a clean, brand new plunger. And then we did a little dancing at the Library Annex (yes, that is the name of a real bar).

Seriously—my friends did a fantastic job planning my bachelorette and could not imagine it going any other way.

Was your bachelorette a surprise, and did it turn out as you’d expected it to be?

We have a Big Bang here in AZ, but I have never been. I have been to the Shout House in San Diego which I believe is similar and so FUN! Glad your girls planned such a fun night for you. :)

@jackie-o: The dress if from ModCloth. I actually don’t think it’s on their site anymore, but they have a ton of other cute dresses!

@Miss Sand Dollar: Yes, the plunger always throws people off.

@messybride: Have fun!

@Miss Glasses: It literally is just a shot out of a little plunger. You usually take your “plunger shot” for your 21st birthday, but for some reason, I never did. So, I decided to do it for my bachelorette. You probably can’t tell, but the handle of it says “Happy Birthday!” Haha.
