This weekend my NY MOH, BMs BK and Trines, my sister, and my bests rallied together a fantaaastic bachelorette party for yours truly. Lots of love and elbow grease went into this destination soiree at my friend A’s parents’ Pocono house, but it paid off big time! Without further ado, I will share with you our shamelessly goofy photographs that capture the spirit of the evening perfectly (if you haven’t already picked up on the fabulousness in the pic above):
NY MOH prepped our accessories for the evening and brought cupcakes from Crumbs all the way on the bus from NYC, and my college/NY bests cooked my favorite foods as dictated by Mr. Thimble (taco salad, mac ‘n’ cheese, and chicken fingers, mmm [I’m a child]).

They fed me, toasted me, and gifted me a Shake Weight…among other naughty things.

BM Trines helped me get pretty (and made me pose for prom on the stairs).
We carb-loaded on cupcakes and champagne for good measure, and we went outside to find my biggest surprise of the night (literally):

Big huge limo!!(??) Of course I went into: “Why?? This must have cost so much!!” (I’m not having any special transportation for the wedding. A story for another day.) Apparently, a limo in the Poconos is a steal compared to in NYC or Philly. So I chilled-out, climbed in, and found pink champagne!!

Um…three bottles. And we drank them all while Mike the Driver took us on a scenic tour the our way to our destination. We pulled over at a family-friendly scenic lookout point:

Where we…well, acted fools, like we always do:

We wandered around the wilderness in our heels, drank in public, posed (read: popped squats, we’re classy) for pictures, and my friends found me a Gandalf staff that almost made it back in the limo with us.
Finally, we reached our destination, Mount Aaaairy Casiiiino Resoooort (don’t know the jingle? I’ll spare you a link).

We played black jack and headed into Gypsy Lounge where we partied down for the rest of the night.

The next day’s plans to swim and raft and be outdoorsy were foiled by rain, and the outlets were thwarted by excessive traffic, but all in all, this was so much more than I could have asked for!! I’m still in awe of this weekend—it was the perfect therapy for this very stressy bride-to-be.
What did you do for your bachelorette? And for bachelorettes-to-be, is your party a surprise or do you have a hand in the plans?
