Mr. Starfish and I got our license! We’re legally ready to get married. I thought I’d add in one of my favorite songs for fun. It’s been stuck in my head since the bachelorette party and probably will be there until we actually go to the chapel.
We took a Friday off and headed to Middletown, RI to pick up our marriage license. It’s a little early, but they are valid for 90 days from issuance, and I was a little antsy.
Can you tell I was excited?
You can’t tell, but Mr. Starfish was excited on the inside.
Were you excited to get your marriage license? How far in advance did you go to get it?
We just got ours on Monday. It’s good for 60 days. Our wedding is in 52 days. The license expires 8 days after our wedding. I REALLY hope the pastor gets in the mail right away! But, yeah, I was super-antsy. And we can’t really take any other days off of work. So…it had to be done, early or not!
We got ours at exactly 60 days out, which is the max in Massachusetts. I think FI was more excited to get it than I was!
Awww yay! We’re at the 60 day mark TODAY! And we have a 60 day limit so we’ll probably apply in about 2 weeks just so the officiant (FI brother) has time to file it! We can’t wait!
We’re getting ours pretty soon too! Right now I feel like it’s a hassle since I have to leave work and hope that it doesn’t take too long! Congrats on getting yours!
Congrats on the license! That is the most darling Town Hall I’ve ever seen!
We have to wait til like, daaayyys before b/c the Mr. won’t be in the country til then! ugh! Congrats on the ML, woo hoo!
