Mrs. Thimble, NYC/Philadelphia Age and Occupation: 26, Actress & Costume Designer (+ day job) Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Lawyer & Techie Wiz Engagement Date: August 22, 2008 Wedding Date: October 2010 Venue: The Pearl S. Buck House About Me: I’m an easily inspired over-thinker delighted with the process of designing, building, directing and {dare I say} co-starring in the early-autumn affair I’ve been dreaming up. I’m a sucker for trendied-up comfort foods and old family anecdotes; I have an affinity for adjectives, alliteration, eyelet and earl grey; and I live for quality time with family and friends. I never guessed I’d marry my “high school sweetheart", but when it turned out to be my funny, techie, loyal Mr. Thimble I was committed for life. More Cowbell!

August 31st, 2010 @ 7:04 pm by Mrs. Thimble

I’ve got a fever, and the only prescription is…

More Cowbell! : wedding engagement pictures philadelphia photography Moo1 moo1

More Moo Cards! (Get it, moo… cowbell, eh?)

I love how our Mini Moo cards promoting our wedding website turned out. We did not incorporate pictures in our save-the-dates because my parents had already sent a photo in their engagement party invitations… aaand we didn’t have our e-session yet. But I had to show off our new engagement pictures somehow…

Mr. T punched a heart-shaped hole (using my awesome heart-shaped-hole puncher!!! [Aside: I spent my junior high days analyzing Tori Amos songs and being very serious, and in my mid-twenties I’m obsessing over heart shaped things... is this a normal progression?]).

And I tied the Mini Moos on to the invitations with yellow Divine Twine:

I was a little nervous about our guests’ reactions. Sure it’s cute, but I’ve basically branded our wedding (with hearts, of course) and I’m hocking our website with a business card.

Oddly enough, this little Moo is the first thing they talk about when they compliment our invitation suite!! I haven’t checked our website traffic to see if the cards are actually working, but at least people like them and maybe they won’t throw them out right away. :)

How did you incorporate your wedding website and extra information for your guests?

I <3 your invitations! That was a vitual heart there in case you missed it. :) Seriously though, they look fantastic! I love the Mini Moo’s and I love the way you attached them to the invitation. I don’t think it’s overdone hearts in any way. They look awesome!

1. These are ridiculously cute
2. OMG I was obsessed with Tori too. Like, oversized Tori Amos t-shirts down to my knees belting out Boys for Pele on a regular basis.

I’m a big lover of incorporating the “heart” into weddings. After designing all the randomness for our wedding I’ve become OBSESSED with hearts. I used them way to often. They are my fav. Who know such a simple little icon could be so amazing. :-)

Keep the “heart” alive!!!

BTW love the Moo cards… I’ve been meaning to get my hands on some Moo cards.

I copied you and included moo cards in our invites and they’re usually the first thing people mention, too! They really love them!
