Keeping Guests Informed

September 1st, 2010 @ 12:22 pm by Miss Handbag

Since we are having a destination wedding and we have friends all over the US, we (OK, who are we kidding here, I) thought it would be a good idea to create a brochure. I scoured the Internet for ideas on formatting and ran across VistaPrint. I use them for work related marketing and always get emails for free offers, so I thought I would try it out.

I was looking for something with our color scheme (black and white) but they all seemed so dull to me. So, I started looking at the tropical themes. Besides, our guests are using this as their vacation, so I might as well play up the Caribbean theme. :)

I played around with different fonts and colors and came up with this.

This is the outside of the brochure:

Keeping Guests Informed : wedding diy jamaica stationery Brochur brochur

And here is what they see when they open it up:

When Mr Handy saw these, he laughed. He said that I have way too much information in my head and that I have to create things like this to get it out, or I would blow up. He asked me if my head hurt. :)

I love love love to be creative and try to help spread information. If our guests aren’t well informed, it’s going to make for a very stressful wedding week.

These are great! That is completely how I feel about all my ideas. If I don’t get them out, I will explode! And yes, sometimes my head hurts.
Congrats on a great project. Your guests will really appreciate it!

if i was attending a DW i would loooove to get something like this!

my method of spreading the word is just telling my mom. really, telling her is like posting it on a billboard.

Did you print these already? I think I spotted a tiny typo, but I won’t say anything unless you haven’t printed them yet. :)

I was thinking of doing something similar for our guests, but hadn’t thought of the pamphlet. It looks great and I love it! I may have to borrow this idea from you. :)

I am going to start sending “themed”emails 3 weeks prior to the wedding. Like, what to pack, schedule, how to get to the resort, etc

the second section I cannot click on to make larger to read and I’d love to see it better to maybe use some of your thoughts as a guide for my information packet. that would be awesome! :)
