I’m happy to report that our out-of-town bags are complete! You may remember that we got small reusable grocery bags from Target for a steal—25 cents each! Well, a couple weeks ago, we finally got down to filling them. Here’s Mr. Jelly diligently distributing goodies amongst our 40+ bags:

And here are the bags with the goodies contained within:

Each bag contains:

2 bottles of water
Kirkland brand Trail Mix
3 Ghirardelli chocolate squares in various flavors
2 Crystal Light On-the-Go packets
Travel packet of Advil (they might need it the morning after…)
Doublemint gum
Candy bar
Tissue packet
San Francisco Official Visitor map (I may or may not have walked out of the SF Visitor Center with 50 of these).

We also included a 1-page letter to our guests, with just the basics: Schedule of Events, Shuttle Information and Contact Info. I was planning on going all out and doing a brochure (with pictures and everything!) but I’m not gonna lie to you—I’m kinda sick of the DIY. And Mr. Jelly made me promise not to add any more DIY after I was done with all the big stuff. So, I’m keeping it simple. But I still managed to print it on some pretty cute paper, no?

There you have it—our OOT bags! I hope our guests enjoy them, and I hope they notice our little nods to the Bay Area (Ghirardelli chocolate, reusable bags, SF maps).

Your bags are great! I, too, have a ton of SF city maps tucked away in my closet, ready to use next month:)

Great Idea!!! especially using the reusable bag I’m not 100% sure if I will do OOT bags, but your contents are awsome !! love the travel packet of Advil

The bags look great! But, I’d be lying if I said my first thought wasn’t “OMG, her wedding is REALLY CLOSE!” Yay for you!

Woo hoo! I cant wait to see your wedding!! I loved our OOT bags and our guests loved them too - we got lots of compliments on them! I put in crab chips because Im from Maryland and a few people noticed that!

How awesome that you got them done already! Our OOT bags included fresh local truffles, so by necessity they had to be a week-before-the-wedding item. We were definitely assembling them the day before the rehearsal!

Great stuff in there, I’d be happy to recieve that! And I wish I’d thought of putting TRAIL MIX in mine, duh!

Great OOT bags! We got married in Cambridge, MA and included local treats like Cape Cod potato chips, little boxes of Boston Baked Beans, and a clear candy bag filled with other candies that were manufactured in Cambridge (tootsie rolls, Junior Mints, NECCO wafers), along with some of the same things that you have. Our guests LOVED the Motrin we included for the morning after!

@spitfire229: I found them in the travel section at Target, they came 4 sachets to a box for $1. Pretty good deal!
