Cake. ZOMG cake.

We commissioned a three-tier traditional bridal cake with two-tiers of white cake with fresh strawberries and one tier of chocolate cake filled with dark chocolate ganache. It was really really good.

The mister chose a simple but delicious carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for his groom’s cake. It, too, was excellent.

We had “the talk” many times beforehand and agreed to be on our best behavior.

Or not.

A bevy of mini desserts (éclairs, assorted fruit tarts, chocolate covered strawberries, mini pies) rounded out the sugar overload. Yum.

@shellymarie: I don’t remember exactly where they were from - either Hobby Lobby or Michaels but they’re just simple wooden letters with about 500 coats of champagne metallic spray paint.
