I dream of becoming a best selling novelist like Elizabeth Gilbert or Julie Powell (a girl can dream, right?), and love long road trips, a beautiful countryside, music, blogs, books, and all things vintage/thrift/antique/or homemade. I’m a Virgo, i.e. overly sensitive, emotional, and critical, and there’s no such thing as short and sweet in my world. I want to say and do it all. Mr. Brooch grounds me. I point where to go and he figures out the way. He’s a pragmatic fancy-pants who enjoys video games and movies. We both adore our mutt, Rocky, and spending time with our amazingly supportive family and friends. We’re planning a garden wedding with a formal reception with lots of whimsy and unique, Southern-inspired details.

BCBGMAXAZRIA Bridesmaid Dresses

September 3rd, 2010 @ 3:06 pm by Mrs. Brooch

I have a thing for dresses. Whether it’s an everyday dress or one I need for a special occasion, they’re comfortable, girlie, and I adore them. I wasn’t a huge fan of BCBG before I met Mr. Brooch, but that’s because I never stepped foot into a BCBG store. One day, we were shopping for a dress for my little sister’s first communion, and Mr. Brooch dragged me in to a BCBG store. Whoa! Where had I been? The clouds parted and the sun shined bright!

I fell in love with everything in the store. Now I have to brace myself when I enter the mall or pass a BCBG because window shopping + BCBG = a bad combo.

While cruising the wedding blogs as I often do, I stumbled upon those four beloved letters: B C B G…Whoa! Again, the clouds parted. They make bridesmaid dresses? I was intrigued, so I hopped over to the BCBG website (gotta love the Internet), and clicked away. Below you’ll see a few of my favorite finds…

Why was Mr. Brooch pulling you into a BCBG store? :) And yes, the photos are nice. I particularly like the last one!

Dear Brooch,

Never come to Guam. You will spend all your money. There are 2 bcbg stores and one of them has the most killer prices I’ve ever seen in my life. Almost all of my dresses have come at %75 off. $300 dress for $75? MINE! Some of my girlfriends spend entire paychecks there. Consider yourself warned. ;)

love, Barrettes

My bridesmaid dress for my best friend’s wedding came from BCBG, we just HAPPENED to wander into the store while waiting for her wedding dress appointment across the street. We found the perfect dress on clearance and the sales associate helped us locate enough of the dresses for the entire wedding party. It totally ended up being a dress I was able to wear again and again. And how often does a bridesmaid get to wear one of her favorite designers for a wedding!

I’m in love with BCBG too. I can’t wait to go try on their wedding dresses. Those are pretty BM dresses!

OMG how could you have lived without knowing BCBG?!?! haha. Both my prom dresses were BCBG cocktail dresses that I still wear!
