Paper Projects

September 3rd, 2010 @ 7:00 pm by Mrs. Socks

This post was going to be all about the vases I spray painted last weekend, but unfortunately, my camera’s SD card broke and I’m still trying to extract the pictures off of it (this also means I lost the Philly bee meet up pics, sorry ladies!).

So instead, I thought I’d share some of the other projects I’ve been taking on lately that haven’t involved my camera!

First up is our little logo people:

Paper Projects : wedding diy philadelphia stationery Oot Sti

Now that I’m looking at it, the text is a little off center, but you get the idea! This little logo will be featured on our out-of-town boxes, our guide to Philly, and a few other paper pieces. I purchased this image from istockphoto and edited it in Illustrator. Easy peasy!

Our thank-you card design (simple, but effective):

Paper Projects : wedding diy philadelphia stationery Thank Y1 thank-y

Our menu cards (the food is subject to change—we have a tasting next week!)

Paper Projects : wedding diy philadelphia stationery Menu Co1 menu-co

Our little wine coasters/tags that we’ll make for each wine we choose to serve:

Paper Projects : wedding diy philadelphia stationery Wine No

It may be a $12 bottle, but it’s delicious to me!

Our programs:

Paper Projects : wedding diy philadelphia stationery Program1 program

This is the outside of the program (it will be folded) and to the left, we’ll sign each program.

Paper Projects : wedding diy philadelphia stationery Program011 program01

This is the inside, but we’ll let our guests know everyone’s names ;-)

It’s still a work in progress!

The Philly Guide we’ll be putting in our OOT boxes:

Paper Projects : wedding diy philadelphia stationery Brochur1 brochur

(side 1)

Paper Projects : wedding diy philadelphia stationery Brochur011 brochur01

(side 2)

Hopefully this wonderful little map that I found on VisitPhilly.com and edited to include our favorite spots will help everyone navigate their way around the city!

Our table numbers (nothing groundbreaking or exciting, but still!):

Paper Projects : wedding diy philadelphia stationery Table N

I’ll spare you from listing all 12 of the numbers…you get the idea.

So there you have it! There are other pieces I’m still chipping away at, but it feels good to be able to cross so many off of my list. It’s been a faster-going process than I thought it would be since I’ve kept the same basic design for each piece. And believe it or not, I’m still in love with our colors and I’m not sick of them yet!

Are you designing your paper products to match each other? Have you found it easier to get them all out of the way at once or chip away slowly and steadily?

Not trying to be rude or anything. But do u think that you should delete or “white out” the actually information on here (location, address and times.)
I would hate for some crazy ppl who are not part of weddingbee to ruin your day.

Besides that-I think your whole stationary (colors, fonts, pics) are really cute.

How exciting! Ladder 15 is a beautiful venue! I’m getting married in Philly as well [ & am a native of the area]. Do you mind me asking how many people will be attending the ceremony & reception? I’ve researched Ladder 15 [ & had drinks there before] & saw how it could get a little cramped, but it’s still on my list of venues.

Btw, love, love your logo and your designs for all of your wedding stationery. Can’t wait to see the vases!

@Kelly: I got the image of the cartoon people at this url: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-9380166-wine-tasting-cute-couple-with-goblets.php
@RayRayFurious: That’s awesome that you’re considering Ladder 15! They’ve been amazing to work with and we’re SO happy we went with them. We’ll have approximately 75 at our wedding, but I think it could definitely hold quite a few more. We’re renting the entire restaurant out for the event–using the third floor for ceremony/cocktail hour and the first floor for dining/dancing. You should definitely talk to Jen if you’re interested–she’s their event coordinator and is so helpful! Good luck!
