I am a Sunny So-Cal bred gal who trudged across the country to follow her love of psychology and ended up finding a partner in the process. I am overly passionate about anything I involve myself with. I am an activist, a foodie, a reality TV watching junkie, an over-analyzer, a photography obsesser, and am utterly cheesy to the core. This is a story of what happens when a boy and a girl meet, fall in love over academic dorkiness, and a shared love for life. We (mostly I) are planning our semi-destination wedding in my hometown of San Diego. We are excited to bring our families and friends together from across our lifespans to celebrate our future in a grand 400+ person culturally blended affair!

Keeping OOT Guests Caffeinated

September 7th, 2010 @ 9:39 am by Mrs. Hot Wings

The Hot Wings are caffeine addicts. We are a reflection of those around us, right? So if we were going to ask our guests to stay at condo-like villas for our wedding with no coffeehouse in sight, we’d have better provided the means to stay caffeinated.

We purchased a large 2 lb bag of coffee from Costco. You can buy the beans and ground it yourself before you leave the store. It’s fantastic!

We used clear plastic bags that I found at Target. They carry two sizes at Target, and I used the larger ones. We gave each 2 bedroom villa enough coffee to sustain them for 2 days. I printed the tags from our home printer, then cut them using a paper cutter and then folded them in half.

We folded down the plastic bag to our desired size, then stapled the paper to the plastic. Et viola!

“A morning toast with this French Roast.”

Oh no, we were not done yet. There’s still the other side of the label. I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t try to put something else on those labels. It’s a sickness, really. I made these.

I got the Starbucks image online and had them printed onto clear full sheets of label paper at Kinko’s. I had to credit the coffee company right? Right!

We cut them out and slapped those babies on the other side of our labels. Sorry, I don’t have a picture of these on the packaging. Apparently, I got so excited, I forgot! But here’s a shot from my now New Mama Hottie as I dropped off the goods in each of our guests’ villas.

Great idea! I know the hotel we’ve chosen for guests will have coffee, but nothin’ wrong with sending our guests home with one of our Seattle coffee favorites!
