Shortly after our ceremony concluded, our photographer Molly found me and showed me the screen of her iPhone which had an image of the current radar. She said that the weather had been gorgeous, but that “this” is what was headed our way. Want to know what “this” looked like?

Um, yeah. That’s the actual radar image of the weather on our wedding day (I Googled our wedding date with the word “radar” and this historical radar image popped up…technology is neat!).
Oh, and BTW… that line of red storms? It was moving northeast, as in the direction of where our wedding was being held. Super fun! I’m pretty sure my blood pressure spiked immediately, and then my stomach proceeded to drop into my toes. What had started as a beautiful cloud-free day had turned into a “severe weather alert” situation. We had planned on taking all of the pictures with our wedding party and families immediately after the ceremony…outside. And, we didn’t really have a “back up” option, since we had to be out of the church 45 minutes after our ceremony finished.
We quickly came up with a game plan: we would take the wedding party photos outside immediately which would give us some time before the storms rolled in, and then our families would meet at the hotel lobby at 5:30 PM for family portraits indoors. In between, Mr. FF and I would take our bride and groom portraits, and we would cross our fingers that the rain would hold off.
We made our way outside and got a cute group shot:

Not wasting any time (and feeling raindrops intermittently beginning to fall) I took pictures with my each of my beautiful bridesmaids. First, me with my MOH (and sister) B:

My college friends M and N (can you tell that they’re sisters?!).

My sister, R; and my two friends E and A.
I still love that they all picked completely different black dresses! And yes, I realize that I pretty much had the same static pose the entire time—cut me some slack! We were under a time crunch!
Next, Mr. FF took a picture with his best man (and brother):

And then with each of his groomsmen:

Friends E, J and M.

Friends G, T, and D.

Friends A, J, and C (my friend originally, but Mr. FF’s friend now, too!),
and Mr. FF’s bro-in-law P with our flower girl (his daughter).
Of course, the guys couldn’t be serious the entire time.

Next, I took a picture with our adorable flower girl:

And our photographer caught Mr. FF playing with his new ring.

Love this one.
Then, we took a formal group shot with everyone!

Yep, we had a super-large wedding party.
Don’t we kind of look like an awesome wedding army?
Then, we got some group shots of me with my bridesmaids and Mr. FF with his groomsmen:

This one really captures the essence of Mr. FF and his groomsmen.
They crack each other up.
Next, Molly directed all of us to get into the field that was behind our church. Now, I was ready to do anything to get a great shot…but that’s because I had been living in wedding world for the past 2 years and the idea of going into somewhat “unconventional” places didn’t faze me in the least. Some of our bridesmaids and groomsmen, however? Well, let’s just say that they were a bit hesitant. Once we got situated, however, the results were incredible (and everyone admitted later that it was “totally worth it”).

Check out those ties and pocket squares!

All of my lovely ladies - and their perfect bouquet placement.

Molly brought along some lollipops for the guys to hold - it was perfect for our candy theme!
The bridal party was excused, and Mr. FF and I got some portraits of just the two of us.

:sigh:
I love these so much.
And while the sky made an *amazing* backdrop for our photos, I was nervous that it was going to rain—hard—and we weren’t going to be able to get any other pictures. Mr. FF, my MOH and I quickly made our way back into the church to collect our belongings so Mr. FF and I could go to another location to begin our portraits.

Rumbles of thunder loomed in the distance, and I knew we had to hurry.

Miss a chapter?
First, we drove all of our stuff to our venue.
Then, I freaked about the weather forecast.
Next, we rehearsed.
We had a yummy rehearsal dinner!
The girls got glam.
We both got dressed and ready to rock and roll.
Mr. FF watched me walk down the aisle.
We got married!!!
