Fear Not, We Are Not Alone Ladies!

September 8th, 2010 @ 11:38 am by Mrs. Plaid

Apparently, men have wedding nightmares, too! At least one man, ahem—Mr. Plaid, had one.

I woke up Sunday feeling well-rested from our day at the lake on Saturday to a grumpy Mr. Plaid. Here’s how what it went down:

Me: “What’s wrong?”

Mr. Plaid: “I dreamed that you left me for someone better.” (Sad face)

Me: “What?!”

Mr. Plaid: “I know you’d never actually do that but it all seemed so real!”

I laid back down in bed and gave him a big ol’ bear hug. Poor baby. I hate those dreams that seem so real that when you wake up it takes a minute to figure out if what just happened was a dream or reality. It’s freaky.

And this is not the first time Mr. Plaid has had a wedding nightmare. A few months ago he woke up and said he dreamed that nobody came to our wedding. My thoughts on that subject: “Oh well!”

Of course, I want people there, but if they can’t be bothered to show, that’s not my problem. If I did everything in my power to convince them to come, then oh well. I know everyone has a million things going on in their own lives so I’m not going to stress if people don’t come. However, if NO ONE shows, I will be more than a little depressed. But that’ll never happen, so that’s one nightmare that won’t be coming true.

So ladies, has your fiance suffered from wedding nightmares? Have you?

Awww, that’s really cute! Mr. SD had this dream that I decided I wanted a polyamorous marriage, and took another husband. He was old, pudgy and balding, but apparently I loved him just the same as Mr. SD! It was hilarious. I still tease him about it…

Aww, that’s kinda cute. Shows he’s thinking about it just as much as you are. My fiance hasn’t had any wedding nightmares yet…but I sure have. From wrong napkin colors - to the DJ playing the completely wrong song as I’m about to walk down the aisle. Oh dear, I could only imagine how many more nightmares await me in the next 8 months. My fiance finds it amusing, me..not so much!

So cute!!! My husband did as well, they were more after the wedding. He dreamed our whole wedding party went rogue on us and were trying to kill us…(in his defence we had gotten a PS3 as a wedding gift and had been playing that…ALOT..it was a zombie killing game). He woke up all grumpy and sad and told me that we had to kill our whole wedding party…..

My fiance has had nightmares too. It was also about me finding someone better, but nothing yet about the actual wedding. Its amazing how upset it gets them. But its nice to know something like a dream upsets them enough, means they really must love you.

Yes, my FI has had a few. I’ve had funny dreams that were so crazy, they could not possibly be true; but that is it. I think it is so cute, because they really get concerned. The big bear hug works every time. :)

Although my wedding passed a couple weeks ago, I had this awesome dream last night about how wonderful my wedding was. It set my whole day for wonderful (until I got to work).

I had a terrible dream last year that it was the day of the wedding and I had never finished planning it or sent out invites! It was pouring rain outside and before we took off for the two hour drive to the church, I was calling and inviting people and asking my cousin to bring her wedding dress so I’d have something to wear. I woke up with the worst stomach ache and still get all panicky when I think about it!!

Mr. G has had dreams where I’m trying to kill him which is intense! It is so cute that Mr. P is worried about the wedding!

my fiance had a dream that all our guests were talking nonstop. he ended up missing me walking down the aisle because he was trying to get them to be quiet. then the priest got tired and left half way through. when fi told me about his dream it made me feel so bad! (but also less crazy since i’m not the only one that gets wacky wedding nightmares now!)
