Yep, that’s right…another dress post. This one will be quick, mostly because there were not too many dresses for me to try on at this bridal outlet. The dresses are either Mori Lee or DaVinci, and this shop gives a 10% discount off the suggested retail price.

Dress #1: This dress was OK, but I realized that I really don’t like lace applique on wedding dresses. I’m sure the real dress wouldn’t have some coming off like this one did, but I just wasn’t too crazy about it.

The back was OK, but there was nothing on the train. I need a little bling back there.

Dress #2: This was nice. I liked the bling in the middle, but could have used a little more on the bottom and the back. It also had pockets! Notice the saleswoman, Monica, holding me in in the back, haha.

Dress #3: This next dress was pretty, but the beading on the top was a little scratchy.

Dress #4: I liked the ruching and beading on this dress.

And there you have it. We also lucked out and found a bunch of the bridesmaids dresses that my girls are considering, but I’ll save those for another post.

Did you search around to see if your dress could be ordered for a cheaper price at another bridal store?

I really like dress 3!!! I tried on the first dress and knew it was the one. It was only $400 so it wasn’t something to really think on. Good luck with the dress hunting (c:

Most definitely! I ended up getting a completely different dress at a sample sale though! And btw, I LOOOOVE dress #4 on you! I think it’s super slimming and flattering and you just look fabulous! Did you end up getting one of these or are you still shopping around?

First of all - I agree about the bling…gotta have it. …. And yes, I searched for dresses at many stores. When I found “the one” I compared prices at 2 local boutiques before making the purchase! Gotta pinch those pennies!

I had some very short appointments myself because of some shops’ lack of things that I could even pretend to fit into. I found it especially obnoxious about one store, which irritated me because I’d called in advance to ask about available sample sizes. And so it goes.

I didn’t shop around for my dress at all, but it probably wouldn’t have helped if I did. I didn’t see the designer anywhere but at the place I purchased it.
