In addition to a dress look for our engagement pictures (thanks for the input, hive!), I want to have a more casual look with jeans. I started brainstorming ways we could make our casual look unique and thought accessories were the way to go. More specifically, hats!

Aren’t those pictures adorable?! I love the look of hats and King Hippo was on board with the concept, so we went to our local hat shop last weekend in search of the perfect pair. I was specifically looking for two hats that were different styles and different colors (or patterns), but that coordinated with each other nicely.
After trying on what felt like every hat in the shop, we ended up with this pageboy cap in dark green and navy blue for King Hippo:

So, I’m thinking King Hippo can wear a navy top and jeans and I’ll wear a cream top and jeans and we will be all matchy-matchy. I’m most likely going to get one of these three casual tops online from (of course) Victoria’s Secret.

Did you plan any coordinated accessories for engagement pictures?
Love the third shirt, especially! And very cute hats. (We didn’t do e-pics, so… no coordination of outfits.)
Cute hats!! We didn’t really coordinate accessories, but I shopped high and low looking for tops in colors that were close to our wedding colors.

I LOVE this idea! Mr. B has a favorite hat he wears ALL the time and I wish we had some professional pictures of it! You guys look so cute too btw! Can’t wait to see how they turn out!
that’s such an adorable idea! i wish i’d started thinking of things like that before our engagement pictures get taken tomorrow. drat! and for the shirts, my vote is either #1 or #3 - patterns can look really odd in photos. look at you, all snazzy!
as a girl who has an unhealthy addiction to hats, the idea of incorporating this accessory into e-photos is fantastic! those hats look perfect on each of you and with the 1st cream top {my favorite}, you two will have some awesome looking photos 
for our e-photos, we didn’t match our wedding palette or even each other. serendipitously, the ensembles we chose {rob - a dark green gingham woven shirt, me- a plum tank dress} ended up complementing our landscape, which was the vineyards of sonoma valley. thank goodness we matched back to something!

We are doing coordinated outfits for our casual pics. I’m doing a white v-neck fitted tee (with sexy red heels and accessories) and dark jeans. Mr BB is going to be wearing a dark grey v-neck tee with light colored jeans. Our dressy outfits more so go together as opposed to being coordinated. I love the first top of the pictures but I’m sure any one would look great!
We are having our E-pics in two weeks… so excited. It is kinda weird but we are coordinating our belts and shoes for one of our looks. I think it will be cute. I like shirt #3 or #1. I think a V-neck will look great with the hat.
