I said “goodbye” to my dad…
…and hello to my soon to be husband:
Surrounded by our friends and family, we began our marriage ceremony to publicly commit ourselves to each other.
Since we FORGOT THE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, every time Laura said the word “legal” I broke into giggles. That’s right, I giggled my way through our ceremony.
Until I cried, that is.
We “planted” and watered our cactus.
We broke out scrap of paper that Mr. D hastily wrote his vows on, and read from that. Just a reminder to those in planning: you should probably prepare something—like an iPhone, or even a nice piece of paper. Ha.
Then, we headed back down the aisle as husband and wife!
P.S. - Lavender rice sticks everywhere. Especially if it is August and you are sweaty.
