Becoming a bride is not an easy task! (It is a little easier when you have someone else doing your hair and makeup for you…) But still, you don’t just wake up with beautiful hair and makeup. You start out looking a little scary, especially if you get up early in the morning, like I did. You might start out a little something like this:

And the scariest part: that’s after makeup! However, slowly but surely, everything starts to come together. It’s a fun process to watch for sure!

As I was getting my hair and makeup done upstairs, my bridesmaids were doing the same kinds of things downstairs. When I was ready to get dressed, they magically appeared, all beautified and photo-ready! They watched as my mom helped me zip the back of my dress.

Then it was time for finishing touches, like putting on my jewelry and of course, spraying the Flowerbomb! (It’s funny how everyone helps you with everything on your wedding day. I swear I know how to put on my own jewelry.)

Suddenly, the transformation was complete…I was a bride!

Ta da!

Next, everyone went downstairs, (to powder noses, reapply lip gloss, etc.) and Chloe and her assistant took these moments to take some bridal portraits of me by myself. (You know, just reflecting on the event that was about to happen and stuff?)

I slowly opened the shutters and looked out on the backyard where the wedding would be taking place in only a few hours. This totally wasn’t, um, staged or anything!

Then I headed downstairs to meet up with my girls and take some sweet pics!
