Today, I’m getting legally married. It’s a very odd feeling because we’re not at the finish line quite yet…we still have three weeks until the day that we’ll consider our “real” wedding, but there is still a significance to the step we’re taking today.
I’m excited, I’m nervous about everything going smoothly, and I also feel very peaceful that what Mr. Socks and I have will be very very real from this day forward.
Mr. Socks told me to make extra space in my head for all of the details today, which I will try my best to do. I’ll leave to get my hair and makeup done in a few minutes and I won’t see Mr. Socks again until we meet at the altar.
I’ll give you a few teasers to tide you over:
Our rings are ready… (the Paloma’s Nest dish reads, “to have and to hold”)
My bouquet is all tied up…
Mr. Socks’ bout is already pinned on his suit jacket!
And I still can’t decide on my shoes!

Congrats! I hope your legal ceremony is everything you’d hoped it would be- ours was a total shock because it was so… nothing. I hope I’m not raining on your parade but us courthouse chicks gotta stick together! We had a good time celebrating though, and I hope you guys have a great day!
