Good Folly, Miss Molly, I’ve still freakin’ got it! I thought the mundane walls of the hospitals I’ve been visiting had stripped me of any inspiration I’ve ever had. Enter the Margaret Stamp Set from cute tape. Oh, why hello there, Lady Margaret (yes she’s a lady). Fancy meeting you here.
I was going to just settle on these meh stamps I had purchased from Paper Source.

I now realize why I’ve been putting off the invitations all along. I just wasn’t in love. So today, fresh off my Sissy-wedding high, I grabbed the old stamps to see if I could find anything additional. Look at them. I mean, really, they don’t even compliment each other. I began to troll the Etsy rubber-stamp section. I had two promising contenders in the stamp contest, chandeliers and birdcages. Sometime around seeing a corset stamp I realized, hey, that would make a cute bachelorette- or shower-invite stamp. Then I saw a top hat and thought, hmmmm, a cute bachelor-party stamp. Before I knew it, I had a page full of scribbles and a definitive theme to tie my one year and eight months of planning together.

I am ecstatic that I not only will be able to tie my dress, invitations, venue, and paper goods together, but also will now have infinite props for the photobooth and wedding-party pictures. Still not seeing how perfect this theme is? Well, we just returned from England, both of our first names are extremely English, our last name is super English, AND well, Queen Victoria—she was a dang trendsetter! Yeah, white dress—she rocked it first. I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before for us.
The final theme for our wedding will be: (drumroll please) Victorian Era juxtaposed (ooohhh, I’m so fancy with my big words) with modern elements! Now it is not a strict theme; I will also be borrowing from the Art Deco Era, seeing that the Biltmore was built in the 1920s. I just can’t believe how utterly oblivious I’ve been to it all along. It’s been right under my nose the entire time. I got a little sniff of it when we visited the Biltmore for our tasting. I knew then that my birds, bees, flowers, and trees inspiration just wasn’t going to work.
For fear that you may think I’m exaggerating this whole theme epidemic, I give you my birds, bees, flowers, and trees inspiration board.
