Mrs. Argyle, St. Louis Age and Occupation: 24, Project Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Pilot Engagement Date: February 15, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: Jewel Box in Forest Park and Windows on Washington About Me: I'm a true Midwestern girl (born and raised), lover of red wine, reality TV and the entire J.Crew catalog. I love to dance regardless of who is watching, and enjoy a good laugh with my girls. I have a soft spot in my heart for planet Earth, my two dogs and my fiance. Fall is my favorite season (which is why we are marrying in September), but I love a warm summer day and the Colorado mountains in the winter. We are planning a modern soiree downtown, with lots of bold colors, and fun, eco-friendly elements.

Rings and Things

I ordered this ring for Mr. A.

It’s cool, and a tad nerdy, and quite awesome, if I don’t say so myself. It fits with his personality perfectly. And, it’s made with titanium and meteorite. Cool stuff.

It came in about a month ago, and of course, the first thing we did was have him try it on. Except it didn’t fit.

Boooo. It somewhat put a damper on this cool idea we had for his ring. And, because of the material the ring is made out of, we had to send it back to have a new one re-made. Sad panda over here.

So, we ordered a replacement ring from Tungsten World. One he can wear around, and it’s okay if he loses it. Kind of like Labrador’s stunt double ring idea, but for the Mr. He likes it. I like it. It’s a good replacement until we get the real deal back (which will not be in time for the wedding).

For me, we had the jeweler who made my engagement ring also make my wedding band. I fell in love with this ring, much like Mrs. Scissors did. But I wanted to see if my jeweler could make it before we went off and ordered it online. I love how it doesn’t quite match with my e-ring, but still looks beautiful next to it. And, how I can completely wear it on its own.

Did you buy a ring that matched your e-ring, or opt for something a little different?

I love that ring for your husband. Mine was so darn picky. We ended up ordering something fairly simple from the jeweler that made my engagement ring and wedding ring but he still doesn’t love it. He’s really picky about everything though, so I’m sure that’s the bigger problem.

My engagement ring is a slightly modified Tiffany setting that I designed. So the wedding ring was designed to fit around the engagement ring. I love that I can’t wear the wedding ring separately, it’s basically part of the engagement ring, symbolicof how my husband and I it together. I thought about having them soldered but the notch helps them not move.

Love the one you chose, Mr. SD went for all black as well (though his is ceramic to prevent electrical conduction). Nice choice!

That ring is so cool!! I think my groom would like that.
Our weddings bands aren’t going to match as we both have different taste in jewelry.

I have been swooning over the meteorite rings since looking for an engagement ring back in January. I’m really sorry that it didn’t fit.

I’m actually contemplating a meteorite ring for myself (I love astronomy) and possibly mentioning it to FH for his ring (he’s a Superman fan and there would be TONS of kryptonite jokes).

My engagement ring is a platinum band with a solitaire stone, and for my wedding band I picked a rose gold eternity band… I love the way the look together and aren’t matchy matchy!

My e-ring did not have a matching band, so I had to make up my own set.

@BrianneG: The goal was to find something he’d actually enjoy wearing!

@nbblondie: Great together and apart!

@Swiss Miss to Bee: That’s correct!

Where did you order it from? Once my fiancee saw it he knew he had to have one. =)
