About Contests

Congrats to our winner, LRin2011!

~~~
Jim Hunt Illustration creates adorable, one-of-a-kind “Save the Date” cartoon maps for brides and grooms who want to share something special with their guests. He can include any details the couple requests, from cities you’ve visited together to your childhood home to your wedding venue! His illustrations look great in black and white and in color, and today we’re giving away a custom black and white “Save the Date” map, comparable in detail to the black and white “Nicole and David” illustration below, from Jim Hunt Illustration!
I would love to add the birthplaces and the place where the mr. and I met, as well as a plane with a ‘congrats!’ flag- this is so adorable and quirky, just the feel we’re looking to exude!
I would include Cleveland landmarks and locations that are meaningful to us (like the site of his proposal). :)
my fiance and I are getting married in Puerto Vallarta! I’d love to include the villa where our wedding is taking place, the Malecon in PV, Los Arcos, and the airport (all important landmarks for our guests to be aware of)…oh boy, I hope we get this! :)
I would love to include our proposal location (british virgin islands) along with a few landmarks from Seattle and upstate NY since that is where we are each from. Maybe include a rainstorm with an umbrella since both areas are known for rain! Beautiful designs.
My boyfriend and I are both from VA, but from opposite ends of the state. I would love to have a map of VA including both of our hometowns, the place where we first met (our college in between), where he proposed, and also where our wedding will be. I love how the dates that all of these events took place are included on the map. It will be like a timeline for our guests describing how our relationship evolved.
With 85% of our guests coming from out of town, I’d love to include top Chicago sites like the Mag Mile and Wrigley Field, but also our fave spots for Date Nights and the shelter where we adopted our Kitties!
I retweeted my twitter name is christri.
I would include Va (where we both grew up an hour from each other, but didn’t meet there).
Texas where we went to school with a cute Owl picture. That’s where we met.
And then Colorado. Where we live now and he proposed.
We have a lot of out of towners so I’d love to have Boston and Worcester landmarks, something red sox related and maybe include where we live now with a plane connecting to Boston.
Love these! Our wedding is in St. Louis, where we now live, but we will have a lot of out of town guests who are unfamiliar with the wonderful city. We will of course have to include the arch (where he proposed), the budweiser brewery (which is by our reception… i guess we’ll include that, too), our house, the church, and the many parks and the farmers market we’re letting the guests know about to kill time between ceremony/reception.
Seeing as we both live and LOVE Chicago and we’re having out wedding here, I would have love to have a map highlight the items that are important to us (where we first met, where we live)along with the usual Chicago monuments. Love those maps!
We’re having a destination wedding at our alma matre, the University of Notre Dame. I would love having a custom map with our church, the Golden Dome, football stadium, and our off-campus reception!
I would love to have a Save the Date Map of my beautiful home town of Asheville NC where the wedding will more than likely take place. Downtown Asheville with all it’s Gothic Architecture buildings complete with the surrounding mountains, the Biltmore Estate, Grove Park Inn, and French Broad River.
What great illustrations! Since all of my fiance’s family is from overseas and will be traveling to the US for the first time for the wedding, this would be an awesome way to show them the wedding location. I’d include London (where we met/he proposed), and then one of the cute plane icons with the hearts coming across the ocean to our East Coast wedding spot! And then some of the tourist landmarks in the city where we are getting married.
Oh how fun! Most of my guests are traveling quite far to get to my wedding in Maine. The local lighthouse, best restaurants, and touristy shops would be a must for my map!
I would probably include Indianapolis landmarks, like the museum where we got engaged, the Italian restaurant where we celebrate our anniversaries, and the library where we’re getting married. But, I like the example of the one that’s the whole US too, because we’re in a long distance relationship!
I would want to include all our favorite spots in Charleston! Most of the guests aren’t familiar with it so it would be fun to have the harbor, market, rainbow row (touristy sites) but to also include our colleges, first date, different places we lived!
I would love to include all of the fun places to visit since our wedding is a destination wedding!
