…which is why I had no problem trying on the dress I bought and showing Mr. S—I wanted him to see it. And it’s not like he won’t be surprised; when I showed him, I was barefoot and braless with a makeup-free face and dirty hair. I’ll definitely look totally different when I’m all done up and the dress actually fits.
And since I’m not superstitious, I have zero problems posting some photos from my parents’ wedding, even though they had a terrible marriage and an ugly, messy divorce. The boy and I are not my parents, so I’m not worried about it. And these photos are awesome. My mom was so beautiful, and the style is so ’70s fabulous that I think it would be a crime not to share.

these are awesome. your parents were so freakin hip. And your mom looked beautiful. Those rings are hilarious! My parents (who are also now divorced) wedding photos are also 70’s fabulous. My mom’s BM’s all had different color gingham print dresses with huge white ruffles and huge white hats. I love it! I’ll have to post them sometime!
Wow. . .just wow. That getaway outfit had me laughing outloud at work. But seriously, your mom was beautiful on her wedding day. I would kill for long pretty hair like that!

Um..I think I have an outfit similar to the one your mom is wearing complete with vest and high waist pants. That I wear often. lol.

Your mom’s ring(s?) I can understand, but your dad’s is INTENSE. That’s a manly man who wants to proudly display a floral looking ring.

I wish I had photos of my parents’ wedding. My mom swears there is no photo evidence of the day. But she talks about her “sailor dress” she wore all the time.
And my fiance has seen me in my dress too, and I feel the same way, I’ll definitely look better in it on wedding day!

Getaway outfits are such a strange concept to me. My little bro is going to wear my dad’s getaway outfit to our themed pre-wedding party. It’s awesome.
@Emily , I think those are gold “nugget” rings, not floral. Made to look like in nature, hahah.
