Mrs. Argyle, St. Louis Age and Occupation: 24, Project Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Pilot Engagement Date: February 15, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: Jewel Box in Forest Park and Windows on Washington About Me: I'm a true Midwestern girl (born and raised), lover of red wine, reality TV and the entire J.Crew catalog. I love to dance regardless of who is watching, and enjoy a good laugh with my girls. I have a soft spot in my heart for planet Earth, my two dogs and my fiance. Fall is my favorite season (which is why we are marrying in September), but I love a warm summer day and the Colorado mountains in the winter. We are planning a modern soiree downtown, with lots of bold colors, and fun, eco-friendly elements.

Pimping out the Bathrooms

September 24th, 2010 @ 9:39 am by Mrs. Argyle

This was another one of those last minute things—especially since our venue already sort of has bathroom baskets (i.e. tampons and pads). I wasn’t going to make bathroom baskets either, but then I got inspired by the travel aisle at Target. Oh Target, why do you do this to me every. single. time?

We stuck with the basics:

  • Mints
  • Listerine strips
  • Lint roller
  • Hair spray
  • Gel
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Deodorant
  • Tide To-Go stick
  • Tums
  • Ibuprofen
  • Tissues

And, I thought it would be a nice touch to have nicer soaps in the bathroom…so I got a few soap pumps with scented hand soap for the ladies, and Seventh Generation soap for the guys.

What did you include in your bathroom baskets?

The travel item aisle at Target is like a black hole, and I totally get sucked in every time I walk by. “Just avoid it,” you say? Yeah, no, because I swear there’s a tractor beam pulling me towards it.

I’m not the only one. LOL. What gets me… the little cute spray bottles.
Walk straight, no eye contact.

I love eavesdropping on photos of bathroom baskets! It’s so interesting to see all the products!

but I think we’re going to go with a spray deodorant just cause I wouldn’t wanna use deodorant after someone elses armpits =) hahahaha

I included pretty much the same things. People really do appreciate the baskets. I also threw in some band aids, safety pins, bobby pins and hair ties for the ladies.

don’t forget extra nylons in all sizes, floss, toothbrushes like wisps, hairspray, tampons, pads, nail polish clear and colored, sample of perfumes, hand sanitizer, spray deodorant, files, nail clipper, breath mints, tissues, qtips to primp the under eye after having one too many glasses of champagne, facial blot pads, peptobismol, gas X or beano, clear eyes for the teary moments, contact lens solution, bandaids, sewing kit
As you can see I have been at many many weddings and have been taking tips for some time, go generic it is all the same!
