Canvas Wrap

September 24th, 2010 @ 11:03 am by Mrs. Elephant

Part of our photography package with Lynn Michelle included a 16 x 24 canvas wrap of one of our favorite engagement pictures. We had a hard time selecting one (because we loved so many of our photos!!), but we finally decided on one that shows both us and our travel theme in bright, vivid color.

We’re quickly running out of wall space in our two-bedroom apartment, but I found a little nook that seemed the perfect size. Mr. E was awesome to hang it and then rehang it after I noticed it wasn’t centered.

It happens to be above our TV, so for now we get to enjoy this canvas whenever we watch TV.

That is Man v. Food on the Travel Channel (we love that show).

When we move into a house after the wedding (cannot wait!), I’ll be sure to find a wonderful spot for this! We loved the wrap so much that we decided to order a big (and I do mean big!) 30 x 40 wrap of our absolute favorite engagement picture. We feel like this photo is more of an art piece and looks amazing in the larger size!

Love it!

Both are absolutely great shots, but I especially LOVE the one above your bed. Gorgeous!!

I plan on doing this to a wedding photo or 2 when we get them!

i loved all ur e pics. we are having 6 photo sessions for our engagemenents but we are also putting them in a photo book and it will double as out guest book. i couldnt see why i would keep a pretty book with a bunch of names but the photo book with our well wishings will work beautifully!

uh helloo… I want your bedroom ;) I think those are great spots for your photos. I’m hoping to create an uber big one for our bedroom with a wedding photo on a canvas wrap as well.

I’ve been considering doing this with one of our wedding photos, how is the quality? I’m worried it’ll look a little weird with a photo printed on the canvas texture… like it’s trying to pretend to be a painting but very obviously isn’t. You obviously love them a lot so any insight would be great!!

Your bedroom is gorgeous. Bed looks clean and crisp just like a hotel. Makes me ashamed of my unmade bed :( I so envy folks in TX. I remember when I lived in Austin, I had a huge room. Not like the matchbox I have now :( Love your pics :)

Thanks everyone! And don’t let the picture fool you, I actually had to make the bed (which isn’t an everyday occurance) and had to take the pic on an angle to hide the huge pile of Mr. E’s clothes!

@Kemi82JP: I am really impressed with the quality of the wraps! Be sure to get them from a good company (mine were ordered through our photographer) because I have tried and ordered a normal picture from a point and shoot and the quality wasn’t that great.

Love it Miss Elephant! I’m the same way about cleaning for company. Don’t open my closets!!

If you think about it, maybe you could ask your photog who she does the printing through- I’ve seen it canvaspop, but not sure how it would look to order through them!

Gorgeous canvases! I sure hope we can do something like that with our e-pics (which we never use!).

That looks fabulous! I’ve always wanted to do a canvas for a photo, but haven’t had good enough ones to do that with.

@jordynrose: Were you referring to the quality of your pictures? I did learn that the quality of our e pics were (obviously) better than pictures from my camera.

I have a great family picture with Mr. E and wanted to make it into a canvas for my parent’s house using an online canvas place. They were nice enough to call me and tell me that my point and shoot picture would be distorted if blown up any bigger than 8×10. Maybe I need to save up for a DSLR camera haha.
