Year Two Photos!

September 27th, 2010 @ 5:43 pm by Mrs. Toucan

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc05 Hi, I’m back with some more photos from our two-year anniversary shoot! We just got our disk from Agnieszka Wormus of A Brilliant Photo, and I immediately started pulling out my favorite photos…there are lots of favorites though, so here’s your warning: This is a photo heavy post! ;)

When I contacted Agnieszka, I told her that we (okay, I) was thinking about doing a vintage-themed shoot. I thought of going to an apple orchard and maybe setting up a picnic. Agnieszka ended up finding us the perfect location, and a few weeks ago, the Mister and I headed up to Hamilton, MA to a private farm. We even got to “borrow” a couple horses for the shoot!

Say “hi!” to Rudy and Picasso!

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc01 Being able to take some photos with the horses was super fun, and lead to a few funny moments. Mr. T and I were taking some smoochy shots, and I think Picasso got jealous, and started yanking the Mister away, which resulted in one of my favorite shots of the day:

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc02 After a while, we left our new horse friends alone, and took some shots in and around the barn:

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc03 Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc12 We stole a few smooches in the barn, too!

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc04 After the barn, we decided to set up our little picnic.
Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc07 Before the shoot, we raided a few family attics and pantries to find some fun props to play with! We used old cameras, tin can “phone” that we made, vintage books, and random food items to “decorate” our shoot.

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc08 In case you are wondering, we made Mr. T eat the heart in the apple. :)

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc09 I think my favorite prop(s) though were the vintage books…I loved so many of the pictures with the books!

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc06 The sun was starting to set after we took the picnic shots, so we quickly headed to the woods for a few more shots.

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc11 Good thing it was the end of the shoot, because we even got some great shots lying on the ground!

Year Two Photos! : wedding anniversary boston photography pro pics Tc10 Originally, I was a little nervous to do a themed shoot because I wasn’t sure if we’d be able to pull it off. I’m so happy that we just went for it, and even more ecstatic that we found a photographer that was so enthusiastic about helping us make it work!

Would you consider doing a themed shoot?

*Please credit all photos to the fantastic, Agnieszka Wormus of A Brilliant Photo.

**As another small aside, we were lucky to have Agnieszka shoot us this month. We just found out that she’s moving from Boston to Colorado soon!

***Thanks for indulging this old married lady and letting me share these with you! :)

You look so cute in these photos! Although the styling is a little self-consicous (IMO) the love you and your Mr. T share shines through beautifully :) It looks like it was probably a lot of fun playing around! Especially with the horses, I’m jealous!

I don’t plan on doing a photoshoot, themed or unthemed, because my life is not a photoshoot, my wedding is not a photoshoot and my marriage is not going to be a photoshoot. There will not be artifically curated collections of antique cameras or books or anything else that Style Me Pretty says we should have. Since my FI and I don’t have those props in our life on a regular basis, I’m afraid they would make our pictures look pretty phony, not to mention dated!

Oh yayyyy! I love the photos you chose, you guys are such a handsome & sweet couple!
Loved the fact you decided to do a “themed” shoot and the props you came in with blended in perfectly with the vintage feel you were going for. I wish more couples would do that! You’re one creative lady! Love it! :) xoxo

Okay, can I just say re-reading I think my comment was unintentionally snarky. I am sooo sorry and embarrassed. I am having a terrible horrible no good very bad day, that is my only excuse :(
