Hi, I’m back with some more photos from our two-year anniversary shoot! We just got our disk from Agnieszka Wormus of A Brilliant Photo, and I immediately started pulling out my favorite photos…there are lots of favorites though, so here’s your warning: This is a photo heavy post!
When I contacted Agnieszka, I told her that we (okay, I) was thinking about doing a vintage-themed shoot. I thought of going to an apple orchard and maybe setting up a picnic. Agnieszka ended up finding us the perfect location, and a few weeks ago, the Mister and I headed up to Hamilton, MA to a private farm. We even got to “borrow” a couple horses for the shoot!
Say “hi!” to Rudy and Picasso!
Being able to take some photos with the horses was super fun, and lead to a few funny moments. Mr. T and I were taking some smoochy shots, and I think Picasso got jealous, and started yanking the Mister away, which resulted in one of my favorite shots of the day:
After a while, we left our new horse friends alone, and took some shots in and around the barn:
We stole a few smooches in the barn, too!
After the barn, we decided to set up our little picnic.
Before the shoot, we raided a few family attics and pantries to find some fun props to play with! We used old cameras, tin can “phone” that we made, vintage books, and random food items to “decorate” our shoot.
In case you are wondering, we made Mr. T eat the heart in the apple.
I think my favorite prop(s) though were the vintage books…I loved so many of the pictures with the books!
The sun was starting to set after we took the picnic shots, so we quickly headed to the woods for a few more shots.
Good thing it was the end of the shoot, because we even got some great shots lying on the ground!
Originally, I was a little nervous to do a themed shoot because I wasn’t sure if we’d be able to pull it off. I’m so happy that we just went for it, and even more ecstatic that we found a photographer that was so enthusiastic about helping us make it work!
Would you consider doing a themed shoot?

**As another small aside, we were lucky to have Agnieszka shoot us this month. We just found out that she’s moving from Boston to Colorado soon!
***Thanks for indulging this old married lady and letting me share these with you! ![]()
