Mrs. Moonbeam's Picture
Mrs. Moonbeam, Los Angeles/San Antonio Age and Occupation: 26, Intern Architect Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Studio Analyst, aspiring Screenwriter Engagement Date: May 20, 2009 Wedding Date: November 2009 Venue: Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (LaCoste, TX) and Mary Gray Events Center (Castroville, TX) About Me: I was born and raised in Texas, but after college I moved to Seattle for a couple of years and loved it. Then I followed my beau out here to LA and we're getting settled in. I've been making things since I can remember. I was raised by crafters. I love to sew, draw, paint, build, cook, bake (anything with a tangible end result is fair game). In that same spirit, I've been hosting since I was old enough to cook and set a fancy table. I kind of take after my grandmother, who believes that your morning OJ always tastes better out of the good crystal.
About Mrs. Moonbeam

So, we were running 30 minutes late (sorry guests), but the time had finally arrived. All the guests were seated, our guitarist was playing and it was time for the processional.

Grandma Moonbeam started it off with an escort from my cousin.

Our traveling troupe of adorableness came next. (I never posted about it, but they’re carrying wire and wicker baskets with sheer, iridescent ribbon knotted to the top wire)

Now, it was time for Daddy Moonbeam and I to head down. We took one last picture outside.

Just a couple of steps to get to the altar (please, no tripping).

I love the last shot of your skirt & train! That’s funny about “please, no tripping” — that’s exactly what I was thinking on the steps to our altar, too!

I love your flowergirl baskets! They’re so cute! and you look amazing! I love your short hair with that dress - simply incredible!
Just a P.S. - I’m so sorry about the state of your pictures. They really are poor, which is a such a shame, because you and your family are so beautiful, as is the church! They seem like anyone with a point and shoot could have taken them… I just feel bad that you paid for them. You deserve so much more!
Your train is beautiful.

@Kate: Thanks for the sentiment, I’m not happy with them, but I knew the hive would be able to look past it.

I just love the architecture of the church - beautiful! The last picture really does show off how lovely the train on your dress is - I still can’t believe you all sewed it!

Thanks ladies.
@ktisthatbees: Sorry, no DIY pics, but you just take a wire basket and many, many pieces of the same length ribbon then tie them to the top wire in the middle of the ribbon. Fold the ribbon in half, stick the fold through and pull the loose ends through the hole made by the fold. They lay flatter that way.
