Our wedding date is finally on the 10-day forecast—not that I’m keeping tabs, or anything…
Umm, BTDubs, where did September go??!??!
Anyway, today weather.com is calling for a 30% chance of showers on our wedding day. This outlook may change several times over the next week, but New York was just hit with a “monsoon” last night that had made its way up the coast from Maryland. Said monsoon has inspired me to pull the trigger on a plan cooking in my brain for the last 2 years and take some precautions to ensure we can still enjoy the gorgeous grounds at the Pearl S. Buck Estate:

Not bad, right? I may even want it to rain on our wedding day now 
(sorta). My rain boots will come to PA with me (or maybe I’ll use this as an excuse to buy those sweet yellow Hunters), and I have ordered 14 clear dome umbrellas for the wedding party from Rain Tec to arrive at my parents house on Thursday. Tut tut! It looks like we’re ready for that 30% chance!

I love those pictures!! It rained from the time I woke up until 4 PM on our wedding day…our ceremony was hot and sunny at 6 PM!! I love that it rained on our wedding day - we got so much luck! 
Totally cute, LOVE the pictures. but I still don’t want it to rain since we are having an outside ceremony. We are still 15 days away and can’t check weather.com yet, the anticipation is killing me!!!!!!!
Man, forget the 10-day forecast. I got SUPER obsessed when it was finally close enough to check the hourly forecast. I’m pretty sure I was updating weather.com every 15 minutes.
Way to be prepared. Anyone know of any good places to get cute umbrellas? I haven’t found any luck with just regular old searching. I’ll check out Rain Tec though.
We had an outdoor wedding and our backup plan wasn’t going to give us any pretty pictures. Glad it didn’t rain. I’m glad you are prepared Thimble!

Love it! The only element we are facing is HEAT, and sadly there is no way to prepare for that. Just have to sweat it out!

It’s considered lucky if it rains on your wedding day, living in Ireland it rains on most wedding days anyway! Love the picture with the boots
I’m going shopping for cute rain boots today (seeing as how I was completely UNprepared for the aforementioned East Coast monsoon), and will definitely bring them with me in the chance of rain on our wedding day.
I ordered 10 bubble umbrellas from Target.com in case of rain and we got a beautiful 84 degree sunny day… now I get to return the umbrellas and use that money toward something else!
Those pictures are awesome. FYI: My wedding day had a 40% chance and it rained up until wedding time then cleared. Maybe you’ll get the good luck of rain and then it’ll stop.
I got married a couple of months ago. On the morning of our wedding it poured. A suprise storm that wasn’t on the radar even the night before. At first I was really bummed but my photographer was really excited. She called early in the a.m. before the ceremony and asked if I’d be ok with outdoor pictures. She assured me that the stormy lighting and the glossy roads/ trees would make for beautiful pictures. She was so excited to take storm wedding pictures that it was infectious. My entire wedding party was pumped to take pictures outside in the storm. She was sure right the pictures came out absolutely amazing.
