Updates & Heartbreaks

October 2nd, 2010 @ 12:55 pm by Mrs. Glasses

… Just kidding! No heartbreaks. Everything went swimmingly at the airport, and Mr. G is enjoying being in America with his shiny new visa stamp. We’ve been running around trying to get everything set up for him and re-established for me, but we’ve definitely got wedding stuff running too.

We arrived at LAX around noon so we had a half a day ahead of us even though we were exhausted. To keep from falling asleep we headed to one of the most wondrous places in the world, Target.

I know I raved about the convenience and benefits of registering online, but there is just something so satisfying about being handed a little wedding registry thank you kit (a book of coupons!) and a scanner.

I perked up and had so much fun picking out lamps, clocks, and other things to supplement our registry. Pressing the big yellow button and hearing the BEEEEEEP? Magical! Mr. G tried not to fall asleep.

We’re staying at my parents’ until we can find our own place, and I was immediately greeted with this in our room:

And we’re going to do more of the same to this:

Now that the cherry blossoms are back in our lives, where should we put these? They are way too tall and big for centerpieces. I am thinking one on the escort card table and one on the dessert bar table…what do you think?

Up next: I’m going dress shopping and a DIY cupcake stand!

Things are really coming together, and I just wanted to check in and let the hive know we are doing great. Thank you so much for your well wishes on safe travels and such a big welcome home, you’re all so sweet and I really appreciate it! It’s so good to be home!

Did you love registering as much as I did?

I loved the actual store registering too! It’s just not the same without the beeping laser gun! We had some good fun, and I think all couples should relieve wedding stress with laser registry tag in Target!

I love Target! My registry is so far away but I can’t wait until I can use the registry gun. And those cherry blossoms are gorgeous. I think you have the perfect idea to put them on the escort card table and the dessert bar table. They would look so pretty. And I can’t wait to see you dress! I’m waaayyy behind on your posts.
