For the Girls

October 3rd, 2010 @ 11:20 am by Ms. Sloth

I’ve been thinking a lot about my girls—C, K, and J—and what I’d like to get them as bridesmaids gifts. I know I still have plenty of time to choose what I’d like to get them, but I’m having fun looking!

I bought myself this Love necklace from Etsy right before Christmas. I think it would be really cute if I got each bridesmaid a necklace from this buyer, personalized with her name.

A few years ago, for Christmas, I bought all the ladies in my family a personalized mug from DesignherGals. My sister already has one, but the other two girls might like one. I also ordered one for myself back then, and here it is:

Maybe pretty fascinators that they can wear in their hair on the wedding day? Since I’ll most likely have them in mismatched dresses, it’d be nice to have a single hair accessory to tie the looks together.

Have you decided what gifts you’re going to get for your bridal party?

Cute ideas!! I just ordered my girls adorable sterling silver hummingbird necklaces from Etsy :) the seller was awesome and even shortened one of the chains because it’s for my 5 year old niece :) FIs grandma used to collect hummingbirds, so we are using them as a recurring theme

I like the idea of matching headpieces for mis-matched dresses. Maybe check with the girls first about headbands vs. clips though? I know my head just doesn’t seem to be shaped for headbands, they give me headaches. Plus I wear glasses, and the ends of the headband usually fight with my glasses.

Pedicures and hamza necklaces for my girls, to keep them safe from the evil eye ;)

I love your ideas! They are unique, useful things to give as gifts. Well played.

I love those necklaces! I got my girls wine glasses with handpainted peacock feathers on them. Also from Etsy. They were my original inspiration for our wedding colors, and they’re so pretty! Each girl gets a set of 2 with their name and our wedding date on them.

That mug is super cute. I might have to order some of those. I know my bridesmaids drink coffee and tea.

Personally, I wouldn’t wear a necklace with my name on it. But some people like that kind of thing, so if it’s your girls’ styles, then go for it.

I bought my wedding necklace (’Espoir’, the French word for hope) from the seller you bought your Love necklace from, and I think it’s great!

I love the necklaces!

Also, just saw your going to be at Bartram’s Gardens — I’ll be going there for a friend’s wedding next weekend! :-)

I love the necklaces! I was in a wedding where the bride got us personalized jewelry boxes. It was nice because I use mine often. I love the mugs, though. I’m a mug collector. =)

PS- LOVE the new profile pic!

A powerful share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a bit of similar analysis on this. He in fact purchased me breakfast because I discovered it for him.. smile.

There are definitely a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That could be a nice point to convey.
