I love that my loved ones, co-workers, and friends read the ‘Bee and follow my blogging. But this is a post where if you know me IRL and haven’t seen me in my skivvies you probably should stop reading—Yes MOH Tigs Pal—that means you, too! OK, I guess I should add that if I was in a diaper the last time you saw me in my skivvies, you should stop reading: Aunties, that means you! I guess you might consider the following images NSFW ‘cause they contain a little boob and booty.
Wedding blogs introduced me to the idea of boudoir photos and from the moment I heard of them I knew I wanted to give Mr P a special little book just for him. Early on I even told him about boudoir photos and he seemed to like the idea. Then I did something I never do: I STFU about boudoir photos. I didn’t breathe a word about them again to him. You see, I am horrible about keeping secrets; I almost always spill the beans. I signed up to receive notifications of “marathon” boudoir sessions from a couple local photographers but I wasn’t ever “set” on one. Then fate intervened.
Last winter Mrs Cherry Pie launched her photography business, Persimmon Images. I love her photography style and wish I had met her when we were searching for photogs. She and I had met briefly at a Seattle bee meet-up and I was fairly confident that I would be comfortable with her behind the lens. When she posted an introductory deal on the Classifieds for e-sessions and boudoir I jumped at the opportunity to work with her.
Around the time that I first got in contact with CP about a boudoir session, Mr P sent me an article about a Seattle based pin-up photography company. If I could keep it a secret, I knew he would love this gift. I started to hint strongly that I would be buying him a very expensive Lego set (he assumed the Ultimate collectors series Millennium Falcon). I felt a wee bit guilty that he fell hook-line-and-sinker for my red herring.
I roped BM H into my scheme. In preparation for my shoot H and I both tried out sugaring at The Sweet Spot on Mrs CP’s suggestion. I’m big into “Go BIG or go home” so for my first sugaring (or waxing) experience I went to Brazil, which wasn’t as bad as I expected. I also booked my first haircut in, oh, like 9 months. Mr Pretzel has a thing for pink hair and I have to admit that I love it too. I had 10 pink extensions put in. When I came home with pink hair I just shrugged and said I wanted pink hair for the wedding, but thought my mom would have a heart attack so I was doing it early. He bought it.
I made time to have the most luxurious pedicure (90 minutes of pure bliss) I have ever had (complete with bright pink toes!). Mr Pretzel didn’t seem to think my rash of personal pampering was abnormal although at the time I was swearing up and down that he certainly knew what I was up to. I gathered up some lingerie and high heels (mostly stuff I owned) and somehow managed to sneak a couple of items out of Mr P’s house without him knowing.
Bridesmaid H came with me to the shoot. Mrs CP had a glass of wine waiting for me and everything felt so comfortable. I was so comfortable and felt so sexy, it was effortless. H kept me laughing and I am so glad that she came.
I know, enough already Pretzel. Where are the photos? I guess I can’t get away without giving you a sneak peek! All photos by Permission Images unless otherwise noted.

We started out easy, with a playful shoot with Mr P’s Nintendo Game Cube controller, a deep V tee, and some bright panties.

I found these Nina shoes on clearance months earlier and love that the panties are half off one cheek—a problem that got me the nickname “the Coppertone Baby” as kid.

We were sure to get some shots that showed my pink extensions.

I stole the hat, shirt and tie from Mr P

Mr P and I both love to cook, but he is the baker in the family, Mrs CP gave me a mixing bowl and wisk to go with my vintage styles apron.

Every good housewife deserves a glass of wine.

I can’t believe this is me!
Mrs CP is currently featuring more of my boudoir photos over at Persimmon Images. Once she sent me my photos, it was near impossible not to spill the beans. I was over the moon for the photos and I still cannot believe that Mr P had no idea what I was up to. I loved it so much I am sure this won’t be the last boudoir session that I do. I can’t thank Mrs CP enough.
Have you had to throw you FI off your trail to keep a secret? How did you do it?
P.S. - I still feel guilty about making Mr P believe he was getting Legos. What anniversary would the Millennium Falcon be appropriate for?
