Mrs. Ostrich, San Francisco/Hawaii Age and Occupation: 30, Fashion Buyer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 38, Copywriter Engagement Date: October 4, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2011 Venue: Sweet ceremony by the sea and sunset celebration on the North Shore of Hawaii About Me: Born in the city of angels and residing in the city by the bay, I’m a fearless fashion buyer by day, a passionate blog author by night and a dreamy bride-to-be in between. I thank my lucky stars to live in such a stunning city that gives me gifts like organic honey lavender ice cream, movie nights in the park, tucked away beaches, legendary record stores, '80s dance parties, awesome sports teams, stellar flea markets, and vintage bookshops. Oh, and I love to dance! We always find every excuse to escape to the beach, and decided a little seaside wedding in Hawaii is our idea of bliss. Full of our favorite people, music, food and sparkly lights, this is one sunset celebration we will always remember.

I may have champagne fashion tastes, but in my heart of hearts I am the definition of a bargain bee. From rummaging through vintage racks to scouring sale sections to endlessly bidding on eBay, the thrill and triumph of finding and acquiring a spectacular fashion item for a fraction of the price is unrivaled!

And as I glance at my little list of wedding-day to dos, I realize I have yet to find my ensembles for our rehearsal/welcome cocktail party and dinner/dance reception. Yikes! I am envisioning something breezy, flirty, and maybe a little glittery? And, being the budget bee that I am, a fantastic, too-good-to-be-true fashion find!

Frugal fashionistas—never fear! Net-a-Porter’s better bargain sister—the outnet—is the answer to our prayers. It’s got heavenly designer dresses and everything else for a fraction of the original, too-many-zeroes price! And after only a few minutes of cruising their dreamy e-shop, I found these two beauties that I cannot stop thinking about. I’m not going to pretend like they are H&M prices, but they are so incredibly lovely and more like Le Crew and alice + olivia prices. That’s not so bad, right?

No. 1 - The Rehearsal

This is the asymmetrical embellished dress by Adam. Stunning, sexy and sparkly? And 60% off?! Yes please!

No. 2 - Dinner & Dancing the Night Away

This one’s the tiered silk chiffon dress by Alberta Ferretti. Wedding white for the modern day boheme and that bejeweled neckline? Amazing!

I need your help, style-savvy bees! To buy or not to buy? And do tell us about your favorite ensemble ideas for your rehearsal dinners. :)

I LOVE the outnet, you can’t beat their prices for legit designer goods. I definitely say go for it. Plus you’ll be able to wear it for years to come!

Buy! Why not? Sounds like they are such a deal anyway, and if you decide later you don’t want to wear them for wedding occasions, you still have them to wear somewhere else!

Everyone seems to love the blue, but I am sold on the white. It’s so flirty and romantic. And post festivities, would you feel just like Kirsten Dunst in Marie Antoinette wearing that to a picnic?
