One Year Later: The Album!

One Year Later: The Album! : wedding albums los angeles Dsc 028

Something lovely arrived at our home several weeks ago:

One Year Later: The Album! : wedding albums los angeles Dsc 02801 It came beautifully wrapped in a velvety bag, and stuffed carefully in a fancy box…

Our wedding album!

Just about a year later and the album is finally complete! I am a total slacker and took over eight months to pick out my favorite photos, but once that was finished our photographer, Jordana, got the album ball rolling super quick, and a mere six weeks later it was in our grubby little hands.

We decided to forgo the usual leather cover (as vegans we don’t wear/eat/purchase animal products… yaddayaddayadda) and instead chose a SUPER AWESOME FUNTIME yellow fabric cover. It is so soft and so yellow and so perfect.

One Year Later: The Album! : wedding albums los angeles Dsc 029

The photo part isn’t half bad either… :)

One Year Later: The Album! : wedding albums los angeles Dsc 02903

I love how it lays flat when open…

And because we aren’t really name & date people:

One Year Later: The Album! : wedding albums los angeles Dsc 02803

One Year Later: The Album! : wedding albums los angeles Dsc 02905

It was nice to get a little burst of wedding memories a year later!

Did you go with a pro album? How long did it take you to order it?

That is so beautiful! I love the yellow cover!! Our wedding colors were green and yellow so that would fit perfectly for us. We just got married over a month ago so I am currently in the process of choosing photos - which is hard! Do you mind me asking how much your album cost?

Love the “Yay! We did it!” part! We’re thinking of a different than leather cover as well.

do you know where your photographer had this book printed and bound? i am making my own digital album but want something more substantial like this… but most places I have found (shutterfly, picaboo, etc) are not so nice. they do great jobs but i want something really special for our wedding album? any tips? anyone else have suggestions??

Totally beautiful! I was very surprised when we chatted with our photographers about wedding options, and it seemed that no one had ever requested a non-leather album from them for moral/ethical reasons before. We’re pursuing options in linen of course, but I hadn’t expected that in this day and age, in a liberal city, that it would be unusual to forgo skinning an animal to bind our photos.

I love the delicate yellow cover. It really is gorgeous. I love the lay-flat pages too! It makes those layouts (like the one with the three pictures) possible.

@Kemi82JP I suggest using Adorama. It has the same technology to print lay flat pages, and you can have custom or templated layouts, spine printing, and if you wanted, also the ability to print a picture on the cover. I also think that the prices are quite reasonable too for what you are getting!
