Mrs. Jaguar, Sydney Age and Occupation: 27, Primary School Teacher Fiance's Age and Occupation: 29, IT Consultant Engagement Date: August 8, 2009 Wedding Date: June 2011 Venue: Curzon Hall About Me: I'm an Australian girl who is a self-proclaimed nerd, loves all things stationery and would be lost without books, music and the internet. Mr. Jaguar and I have been together for the past eight years and he finally popped the question last August. Hurrah! We currently live in Sydney, Australia with our adorable cat who thinks he's a person. We're a couple who likes to multi-task: we've been planning a wedding abroad, a permanent move from London to Sydney, and preparing to build our own home all at the same time. Travelling makes me giddy...as does Mr. Jaguar, of course!
About Mrs. Jaguar

IlLUMIEnate Me!

October 7th, 2010 @ 4:28 pm by Mrs. Jaguar

I have so many ideas on what I want our tables to look like, it’s not even funny! Our venue (which I’m super excited to share with you… but that deserves it’s very own blog pos!) is lovely and simple and will probably have 10 to 12 round tables depending on our final numbers, so that’s what I’m working with for decor inspiration.

In the meantime, I’m being a good little hunter and gatherer {yay, Jaguar!} for any centrepiece ideas that I could potentially put together for our wedding.

These were one of the very first purchases I ever made, and it was also my very first one off of Etsy! I had never even heard of a Lumie until I saw a picture of them online and fell in love. They’re simple, they’re paper, they have fancy writing on them {heart!} and they give off a really pretty glow, thanks to the candles they stand over. Perfect!

Aren’t they adorable? Danielle from Illumienate makes the most amazing Lumies! The ones I chose are simple and elegant.

It’s too early to say how we’ll use these on the big day. The beauty of them is that they’re partially DIY; all I need to do is roll them up, attach the ribbon, and add on the decals, which nice and easy if I do decide to use them as table numbers. (Plus, there’s even a Mr. & Mrs decal included in the kit—how cute is that?)

But even if I find something else that catches my eye in terms of numbering and don’t end up using these for their original purpose, they’ll be perfect to use somewhere else on the wedding day: maybe scattered around the cake table or to help light up our guest book area. I love versatility, and I love Lumies!

What’s been your coolest random find so far?

I really like - I can’t have a flame in my venue, but am able to have LED candles. This would disguise the fake flame. Thanks for the suggestion.

We are doing Gray suits, so the Pewter would probably look great.

Wow, I’ve been stressing about how to do table numbers without cluttering up my tables. I already plan to have votives on the tables, so this is a perfect solution! Thanks!

We got the exact same lumies. I plan to spend some quality time with my mum this weekend tying bows on them! Love it!

I love it! I was thinking brown craft paper with punch outs a la Martha Stweart, but those are so cute and a bit more refined. I may blatantly rip off your idea.
