Our cocktail hour was supposed to be held outside in the courtyard, but the rain drove us in. No matter! That meant the apps and booze came out early, guests relaxed at their tables, and Mr. PH and I ate pizza hors d’oeuvres and chatted with friends and family.

Come inside!

I loved our venue! It was so cozy and twinkly, with sweeping views of the ocean.

Our favors were a gift from my aunt and my mom (I may have mentioned my mom and aunt a time or twelve; they also made our program fans and my mom made a bazillion other crafty things. They = talented. Me = make stupid jokes on blog. We all have our strengths.).

They made truffles (by hand, two days before the wedding). Hazelnut truffles and mojito truffles. I know. They are too much. And then they boxed them in pretty boxes and fastened them with ribbons in shades of blue and green. Each box held two truffles and doubled as escort cards telling the guest/couple where to sit.

Mr. PH and I wanted to sit in the middle of the room, surrounded by siblings and besties. The one with the green tablecloth is ours.

Our caterer—who I will talk about in my next post—did all the setting up and fancy-napkin-folding. She was wonderful!

We placed two menus at each table (more about the menu coming next!).

Our bar and specialty drink menu. The chalkboard, made by a friend, lives in my home office and normally has to-do lists scribbled on it. We re-purposed it for the wedding.

Remember how I blatantly ripped off Mrs. Stilleto’s table card idea? Blatant bee plagiarism of the worst kind. Here they are in action.

Sneak sneaks.

Waaay back when, I posted about how to subtly incorporate my love of butterflies without going overboard. Mission accomplished via these little critters from Pier 1, floating cheerfully among the centerpieces.

And, if you look closely to the bottom right, we scattered butterfly votives among the tables. Christmas Tree Shoppe.
