Since I had been pretty hyper through the entire ceremony it isn’t much of a surprise that I was feeling the same way during formal portraits. I was ready to get to the celebrating part! Mr. Cloud and I did manage to sneak in what we thought were a few private smooches and big hugs and greetings from my bridesmaids.

I won’t bore you with all of the formal pictures since I have about a thousand; instead I will try to keep it short with just a few of my favs. First there were the mandatory full-wedding-party-at-the-altar poses.

But we can’t be serious for that long.

My ladies are pretty sassy, and those boys were lookin’ sharp!

This is us with Daddy Cloud, Mama Cloud, and Brother Cloud. Use your imagination to remove them and add other family members and you will get the idea of what the rest of our family pics look like.

I can only imagine how boring it is for photogs to take pictures like these, especially when there is a big family involved like ours! Our photographers rocked it though, and you can’t even tell that all I could think or say was, “let’s go party!” But before we wrapped up at the church my adorable flower girl and I had to show off our fabulous shoes! I think she was as excited about them as I was..

Finally it was time to head over to our reception site, The Jefferson Hotel. Both Mr. Cloud and I wanted to spend as much time as we could with our wedding party since they are some of our nearest and dearest (and many of them had traveled a ways to see us)! So we decided to skip the normal “just us” limo ride after the ceremony and rented a trolley to move the whole wedding party together. Needless to say it was a great decision because we had a blast! Not only were we all being a bit rowdy and excited, but because the Mr. and I stood in the back, cars driving by could see us so strangers were honking, waiving, and yelling well wishes also!

We filed out of the trolley and took about a million pictures before letting my freezing girls run in and escape from the cold, including one of my favorites from the entire day.

The wedding party went in to enjoy the already in progress cocktail hour, but Mr. Cloud and I had one more set of pictures to take care of. Shots with our fur baby Bella that I had my heart set on forever!

She was a little nervous, but I have to say she cleaned up pretty nicely after a last minute grooming appointment and one big red bow!

So while formal pictures probably weren’t the part of our day that I was most excited about, they were well worth it and we ended up with some amazing shots. And more importantly Mr. C. and I got to practice our married folk smooches allll over town!

Not all bad, right? Are you looking forward to formal pictures at all? Maybe you are skipping them all together, but just don’t skip the smoochin’ part!
