You know I wouldn’t hold out on you for too long, so I’ll kick off today’s runway recaps with the HIGHLY anticipated Monique Lhuillier Fall 2011 show. Monique titled this romantic collection “Floral Fantasy” and it lived up to every high expectation!

And, after a ridiculously long internal debate, here’s my fave pick. I remember my eyes being glued to this dress as it passed by. I love those unique sleeves:
Here’s a video clip of the close of show from my camera. Monique didn’t make it to her runway show last year because she had just recently given birth to her daughter, so we were all thrilled to see her this year!

I love the 7th one up from the bottom. I would prob never pick it off the rack but it looks so romantic and fluffy! I also love the little girl sitting next to you intently watching every model that walks down, too cute!
Wow..overall the designers have used models who look very frail and depressed. Up until a years ago, it seemed like most bridal gown designers were using models who weren’t quite as thin as the typical runway model. I’m not sure how a bride-to-be is supposed to be able to envision herself in an dress after seeing these pictures. I also wish they would tell the girls to smile and not look so mod. These are, after all, dresses for a woman to wear on her wedding day! The designs are lovely, but I’m disappointed and distracted by the models.
I love pictures 14 & 17! The skirt in 14 is just lovely with an wonderful airiness. And the sheer shoulder in 17 suckered me in.
I am so so so in love with the dress in picture #8. And the one you picked as your fave. You are a blogging fiend this weekend! 
Oh Monique. I lust over you for eternity. I can only hope that my daughter or daughter in law gets a chance to wear you if she chooses to. I would love to wear any of them and all of them!
Drool…I love her designs! I was looking for a dress like #11 and there were like three designers that had a similar style. I had a feeling that as soon as I bought my dress someone would design one that I would love. Oh well!
I love monique!! I am loving your favorite as well as all the cap sleeved dresses! I think it’s such a unique and classic look! Overexcitment is causing too many !!s.

I generally like these but a bride who isn’t into a sweetheart neckline would have to skip them all…

I love number 9, 10, 12, and 26. I do love those sleeves. I was drawn to it as soon as I saw the picture.
Very pretty dresses, but I have to say the skeletal models kind of ruin these first looks at the dresses for me. Some of them are frighteningly thin!
Amazing! I really randomly love the 2nd one (the tea length dress) even tho I’m not usually a fan of short dresses!
