Mrs. Ostrich, San Francisco/Hawaii Age and Occupation: 30, Fashion Buyer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 38, Copywriter Engagement Date: October 4, 2009 Wedding Date: April 2011 Venue: Sweet ceremony by the sea and sunset celebration on the North Shore of Hawaii About Me: Born in the city of angels and residing in the city by the bay, I’m a fearless fashion buyer by day, a passionate blog author by night and a dreamy bride-to-be in between. I thank my lucky stars to live in such a stunning city that gives me gifts like organic honey lavender ice cream, movie nights in the park, tucked away beaches, legendary record stores, '80s dance parties, awesome sports teams, stellar flea markets, and vintage bookshops. Oh, and I love to dance! We always find every excuse to escape to the beach, and decided a little seaside wedding in Hawaii is our idea of bliss. Full of our favorite people, music, food and sparkly lights, this is one sunset celebration we will always remember.

By now you’ve seen the dress, my gals’ dresses and the suits.

So, what else is left?

The flower girls and their lovely ensembles!

For our little beach wedding, we have two ridiculously sweet flower girls, Mr. Ostrich’s two nieces, who are sisters. They are 7 and 5, have personalities big enough to fill a room, love to dance, paint and explore…and will be, without a doubt, the scene stealers of the day. :)

We were inspired by a “Little Goddess” look - Grecian, romantic and breezy - and wanted to find ensembles for each of them that fits their style. We also wanted them to feel comfortable since we know they’ll be zipping around the shore and weaving through the party all afternoon.

And after a little online shopping, we found them. Are you ready?

For the littlest one who loves to shine…

Paired with a silver skinny glitter belt :)

And for her lovely ballerina big sis…

On their little feet…

And on their sweet little heads…two different DIY sequin goddess headbands. DIY post to follow soon!

The girls will wear their slightly wavy hair down and they’ll walk down the aisle together. (Because if we don’t, the littlest one will run up to her big sis anyways.) :)

As for what they’ll be carrying as they walk? We’re on the lookout for  vintage-esque baskets to carry a few petals. Stay tuned!

Now it’s your turn, hive! Are you having flower girls in your ceremony? What darling dresses are you thinking of?

These are sooo adorable! The shoes go perfect. Our flower girl didn’t wear a traditional dress either, we went a bit preppy and had a dress monogrammed for her.

My flower girl is my cute little cousin. She’ll be wearing an ivory satin and tulle dress I wore as a flower girl when I was little. Makes me so happy!

Very cute! I’m thinking non traditional as well…in the form of pettiskirts. We have 3 flower girls and I think pettiskirts are so fairytale like!
