One of the big checks off the to do list last week was taking our engagement pictures. I was definitely looking forward to having professional photographs taken since the only pics King Hippo and I have together are ones we’ve taken of ourselves with a point and shoot camera. You know the ones, where you can only get your heads in the picture ’cause your arm is only so long? Yes. Real photos were definitely in order.

Now, I definitely don’t want to overload you with photos of the Hippos, but I am thrilled with how they came out… so, let’s agree to three engagement photo posts shall we? Just three…. only three. Three tiny, short and to the point posts. O.k.?

So, if you’ve been following along, you’ll remember that I fretted about what to wear for our engagement pics here and here and here (oh, and here), but we finally decided on two different looks. For the first look, I donned a purple Victoria’s Secret dress and King Hippo wore a white and purple button down with jeans. We headed to a Dallas area park to strike a pose and got the following pics back from our amazing photographers.

Yay! Our photographers were so great to work with, and. I honestly wasn’t expecting us to have so much fun during the shoot. Our fake laughs turned into real laughs, and we had such a good time. We ended up with a ton of pictures like these:
