Mrs. Sand Dollar, Houston Age and Occupation: 24, Graphic Designer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 22, Electrical Technician Engagement Date: January 8, 2010 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: MacLean Park About Me: I'm a domestic diva down to the core. I heart cooking, sewing, baking, decorating and making sure we have a hand-crafted home. The best part about the wedding is I get to incorporate it all! I make sure I put my art degree to good use by screen printing, craft knife cutting, and a whole lotta graphic design. We're having a big-time party on a small-time budget, and I promise to show you a boot-scootin', barbecue-eatin', finger-lickin' good time! Mr. Sand Dollar and I spend most of our time on DIY projects or traipsing around the outdoors with our two pooches Rory and Juno. I'm looking forward to sharing our journey with all of you!

Breaking News

October 20th, 2010 @ 11:01 am by Mrs. Sand Dollar

I interrupt this recap program to tell you some great news…

Breaking News : wedding hair houston Photo photo

I GOT MY PWC! And I love it! It’s the best haircut I’ve ever had. I feel so sassy, especially with my glasses. My contacts have been really irritating lately, so I figured, why not just change up the whole look? I’m a brand new woman! Here’s a little refresher of what I looked like pre-wedding:

I couldn’t resist another Suzy Boudoir shot. ;) But it was long, and now it’s quite the opposite! I couldn’t be happier. I’d been wanting to chop it off for a couple of months now, but held off until the wedding, not really wanting a drastic change just yet. Last Tuesday provided the perfect opportunity. So all you ladies who are thinking about a PWC, I totally recommend it! I feel fresh and fun and flirty. It rocks. And apparently comes with a new ’tude too!

Anybody else had a PWC? Are you thinking about one after your wedding?

It looks so cute! And yes, chopping off your hair does bring with it a whole new level of sass, doesn’t it?!

Looks great! Very sassy indeed…
I just got back from my PWC and went from very long to very short just like you. Lost over 12″ which I’m planning to donate.

@pansyshell: That’s awesome! I kind of wish I had some to donate, but it was all frizzy and dead from color treatments and neglect. Hope you’re enjoying your cut too!

Man I wish I wasn’t growing my hair out! It’s in the awkward right at my shoulders length, and even though I want to grow it and donate it again, you are seriously making me want to run out and chop it all off!

My hair is usually short, much like yours but I’m actually growing it out a little bit for the wedding (more hair options) so I KNOW I will be chopping it after the wedding. Love the sassiness, like you said!
