We were having the time of our lives (minus a few hiccups) dancing the night away with our amazing friends and family. Song after song made me happier and happier—I was really soaking it in.

I was so full of pure amazement and joy, that at one point I realized what I had been doing all night wasn’t really dancing. It was more… jumping. I had literally been jumping for joy all. night. long.

When I saw this video (and if you haven’t yet, you’re in for a treat!), I said “OMG, that’s me on our wedding day!” Minus the falling (luckily there was none of that), I really think that I looked like this little girl all night:

As the clock drew nearer and nearer to midnight, I knew that the last song was coming up, and I started to feel sad.

That’s when I pulled out my Bride Card and played it—I was going to get my last song the way I wanted it.

Even though it had already been played earlier in the reception, I decided that I was going to SHOUT (!) with my husband at the end of my wedding just like I had always dreamed of.

And this is what happiness looks like:

I was so overcome with emotion - I was so incredibly happy and so, so in love with this man who was now my husband.

And I had the moments and got the pictures I’d always dreamed of (see below for evidence of picking up my dress and jumping):

HEY AY AY AY (HEY AY AY AY)! HEY AY AY AY (HEY AY AY AY)! (Can’t you see it?!)

The song ended, and the lights went up, and I cried. I cried out of amazement. happiness. sadness. love. hope. I am tearing up now as I write this, just thinking about the emotions I had in that moment.

We hugged. Then my brother hugged his new brother.

And then we all shared an embrace.

And our beautiful, amazing, perfectly-imperfect wedding was over.
