As my Hen Party approaches I thought it that it might be high time to share my outfit for that with you, as well as some contenders for my other pre-wedding outfits.

Having this wedding has meant I will have a huge amount of opportunities to dress up this summer. Other than my Hen Party, there will also be a shower, welcome party, rehearsal, farewell lunch, and not to mention at least two other weddings to attend, plus Christmas of course (We get to wear summer dresses on Christmas Day here in NZ. You know you’re jealous). So I am trying to get Girl-Scout-prepared for all these events by finding outfits early.

Enough waffling, it’s time to view some contenders!

Dress #1 is a darling yellow and grey bubble-hemmed dress from Mod Cloth

I loooove this dress. Very floaty and flirty, and it fits perfectly. Im thinking that with a grey cardi and some Mary Janes that this dress could be just the thing for our welcome party dinner (which we are having in place of a rehearsal dinner). It might work for Christmas Day as well (oh yes, Im definitely making my outfits do double duty).

Dress #2 is from Ruche. I took one look at the heart-shaped back and was sold.

This dress is very comfy, however…it’s a tad baggy under the arms. Nothing a needle and thread can’t fix though (when I eventually get around to it). This dress is more on the casual side, but I’m thinking it might fit just right for our farewell lunch and then jetting off on our honeymoon. Or perhaps it might do for guest-attire at a more casual wedding.

And dress #3:

Yup, this is the one Im wearing for my Hen Party. Ignore my silly pouty face in the pic…Mr E was using me for studio practice and I was trying out different expressions. This dress is from Valleygirl and is super fun to wear, especially with those pearls, some ballet flats and tiny black fingerless lace gloves. Hmm…perhaps I have given too many clues as to what my hen party theme is now. Oh well, it won’t be long until you find out for sure!

I’m still taking my time to pick and choose the perfect get-up for each occasion but I think I have made a good start with these three. My own wardrobe and that of my sister’s might help me come up with the rest.
