Petals for Your Footsies

October 25th, 2010 @ 4:04 pm by Ms Cheetah

I still have to pick out my wedding-day shoes, but I know one thing that will be on my feet come the wedding day…Foot Petals!

Foot Petals are thin cushion inserts specifically made for women’s fashionable shoes. They come in a variety of shapes, so you can add padding wherever you need it.

While they don’t make your four-inch heels feel like big fluffy bunny slippers, Foot Petals do add some much-needed comfort to heels and other shoes. I have worn them before as a bridesmaid, and the cushioning helps when wearing high heels hours on end. I’m not the kind of person to kick off my shoes on the dance floor at weddings, so I hope these inserts help make my wedding shoes comfortable enough to wear all day and night. Foot Petals come in numerous colors and prints—they could even be your something blue. I was super excited to discover that they also come in safari-animal prints! While they don’t actually have a cheetah print (at least not yet—I’m keeping my fingers crossed), the leopard might be close enough.

Do you have any recommendations for making heels more comfy?

P.S. I do not work for Foot Petals in any way.

Foot Petals are a life saver! I put these in every pair of heels I own. Especially for weddings! They make a huge difference on the balls of my feet and on my heels. Love em’ :)

I buy these for all of my heels. No joke. They may not look like much, but they make a world of difference. I can survive two full nights in Vegas thanks to these babies!

I love foot pedals! They are great to put behind your heel in the shoe if the shoe is a little too big.

Awesome! So how do you know which shapes to buy? I would love ones that go for my heel and one for my toes.

I used to have a ton of Foot Petals when I worked for a company that worked for them (does that makes sense)–they are awesome but they actually don’t work as well as some of the cheaper brands. Dr. Scholls has a line of inserts for high heels that works pretty well.

@Miss Meerkat: They say on the packaging which shape is for which part of the shoe–the animal print ones above are for the toes/ball of the foot. I normally get those (called tip toes) and some for my heel, called haute heelz.

@Violet Violet: Does Dr Scholls make thin ones? Last time I looked they were too thick for my dressy shoes, but I do have some Dr Scholls in a pair of boots that work well.

Just a heads up, Target sells these on an endcap in their shoe dept, they have leopard, and they aren’t foot petals brand, but they are way cheaper, and work just as well or better, in my personal opinion!

I haven’t ever tried these, but I love to rock the high heels (FH likes them too :) ) Putting them on my shopping list now…

I’ve always wanted to try these, but I didn’t know if they actually worked, and I didn’t want to just spend the money to get them and then have them not work. It’s great to hear that they do work, and I’m now going to invest in some!

i like them, but i find that they are less effective as you continually trample on them. there are lots of similar products now at any drugstore / Target. i like the gel kinds!

Foot Petals are amazing! I work in a bridal accessory boutique that first introduced me to them and I love them! I wore them on my wedding and have like six more of them in other shoes. They’re so thin, it’s amazing. They also just started making them in a “something blue” color.

I wish I had used these. Instead I just suffered through and sipped a drink when it got real bad. My feet were done the next day.
