Inviting the VIPs: Batting .250!

October 25th, 2010 @ 6:22 pm by Mrs. Lioness

Good news, everyone! (Did you say that a la Professor Farnsworth? You were supposed to.) You may recall that we sent out a few wedding invitations a bit early in order to provide ample opportunity for our VIPs to send us some brag-worthy responses. Well, that didn’t take too long, now did it?! I opened our mailbox the other day to find this:

Figures. Disney World is the first one I get back. It’s like they know me!

I ignored the fact that it was all bent up and shoved into our tiny mailbox (despite the “DO NOT BEND” in red ink) and hastily opened it to find this!

You called it, Miss Giraffe! Why, thank you Cinderella and Prince Charming! We’re very much looking forward to happily ever after. The only problem? We invited Mickey and Minnie, not Cinderella and Prince Charming. Um. Awkward.

Will we hear from the President, the Pope, or Disneyland? You keep checking here; I’ll keep checking my mailbox!

I love it! The Mouses should really talk to someone about their mail being opened by royalty ;) I’m totally going to invite some VIPs!

I think Micky and Minnie respond if you send it to their first residence in Toontown (Disneyland), while Cinderella responds to the mail at WDW (you know…. since it’s her castle and all). :)

I can’t believe that you got a response from Disney World! I am going to totally send them an Invitation now, since I absolutely love everything Disney. That is so awesome! I can’t wait to hear if more VIPs respond to your invites.

It was funny - we got the responses from Disney World and Disneyland on the same day! We were surprised by the Cinderella thing too but were just happy to get a response. We got a response from the President also but I don’t remember how long it took.

Random question - what font did you use to address your invites? I love it!

Ha ha! That is so sweet! Were the signatures in real pen, or just printed on the paper?

Hahaha! How rude that Cinderella and Prince Charming intercepted an invitation meant for the Mouse family!

Miss Lioness, we’re wedding day twins! And I think it’s awesome that you invited Mickey and Minnie, and hope that you can be kind to Cinderella and Prince Charming when they come in their stead :)
