We all know that a wedding isn’t a wedding without all the itty bitty details (well, at least in blog world) and, it’s quite clear that the details were very important to me. Even with hair and makeup finished and my wedding look complete, my wedding vision wouldn’t have been whole without them.
Before we begin our ceremony recaps I want to share with you all the lovely details that set our wedding apart and made it our own. Today we will focus on the handcrafted florals!
Flowers for the Girls:
First up, my beautiful, hand-crafted, vintage-inspired, fabric-floral bouquet!

If you recall, I spent many hours creating these flowers, attaching them to wires, and arranging them into a bouquet. It was definitely one labor of love that I am glad I didn’t give up on. I’d like to think the end result was quite fabulous!

If you look closely you can see a few added touches relevant to my namesake (part of the reason I chose to be Miss Locket). Two lockets attached at the base…one given to me by my father when I was a little girl (my something old) and the other recently given to me by MIL Locket for crafting purposes was perfectly fitting.

And, here’s one last close up of the flowers with my rings nestled a top.

And, we all know that a bridal bouquet is not complete without its sister bridesmaids’ bouquets.

I created these simple versions for each of my girls. You might notice another heart locket making an appearance, but these lockets weren’t meant for looks alone. I had planned on writing and hiding a secret message for each BM in them, but with too much going on I sorta, kinda, maybe forgot.

Either way, the girls loved them so much that they didn’t care.
All together now!

Even our flower girl was treated to a handmade basket featuring some of my handmade pretties. She adored it so much that she couldn’t wait to take it home.

Would you believe this lovely little basket was a 50 cent Salvation Army find? All it needed was a quick clean and some sprucing up with ribbons and flowers.

Flowers for the Boys:
The boys also took part (perhaps to their dismay) in the fabric floral brigade.
Our ring bearer was given this great handmade pillow that securely held our rings.

While each of the groomsmen were pinned with these nifty bouts!

I just love looking at these photos because they showcase the many hours of hard work and dedication I put into these projects. It still amazes me how plain scraps of fabric could turn into something so beautiful and instrumental to the wedding. Even Mr. L (the ever naysayer) was beyond impressed with these projects and was pleased to see my vision come to light. He is so proud of my bouquet that he recently told me he plans to purchase a display box to place it in (aww!). Do you (or did you) have any details that were really important to you? Did you enjoy seeing your DIY projects in your pro pics?
