Two is Better than One, Part II

October 27th, 2010 @ 2:29 pm by Ms. Sloth

Earlier this month, I blogged about my plans to buy two small wedding bands for a mismatched look.

Well, I got the diamond band from Ice.com a few weeks ago, and the flower band from Etsy came yesterday.

You guys. They look even better than I ever could have hoped for. This isn’t the best photo, but you get the idea:

Adorable, non? I love how the flower band mimics the flower setting of my engagement ring, and the diamond band, which is so tiny and so delicate, adds a bit of mismatched symmetry (is that even a thing?) to the whole look. I am totally smitten with the whole shebang.

Did you order any wedding jewelry online? Did it live up to your expectations?

I LOVE how they look together - just a question - if you have your ring reset to be more flush with your finger, will the bands fit together as well?

I love it! I think it does have a mismatched symmetry to it because the thickness of the two bands is pretty close and the top does match the focal ring.

I gotta say, I was worried this wouldn’t look too good….but I was certainly WRONG! It’s the most unique, creative, interesting match I’ve ever seen. I’m not kidding. No one else will have it and it’s got your own little touch to it. PERFECT! Honestly, great job envisioning the end product. :)

I usually hate things that aren’t symmetrical…but I love this!

All your rings look great together - and all the combinations you can play with too! I usually like to be matchy-matchy myself, but I really love how your rings look together! Great pick!

I love how it turned out! What Etsy seller did you purchase your floral wedding band from? I have been looking for a similar one.

I’ve never been a fan of the double band thing, but that looks absolutely fabulous!!!

Majorly loving the dual band look. :) My FI got my engagement ring online to save on sales tax, and got it appraised immediately to make sure he wasn’t ripped off.

Online jewelry shopping can be overwhelming and tricky, but it’s worth it!
