About Mrs. Zebra

I’ve been thinking lately. I know, I know—don’t hurt myself. Anywho, Zeb’s really changed his uninterested groom tune. Now, don’t get me wrong. He ain’t stuffing envelopes but there is a little change in him. I think he’s getting excited. Which of course melts my heart. He’s getting excited to marry me and that’s pretty cool. He’s taken initiative to order candles online—hey, baby steps, right? With this new interest in helping I’m feeling more comfortable assigning him tasks. His current task is to contact the tuxedo rental store that he’s interested in.

I never told you about what the men are going to wear. Actually, I haven’t even started telling you about what anyone is wearing, save for me. (ROAR! There’s that ’zilla again.) I wanted to go with a classic tuxedo look. I’ve never been a fan of the tuxedo with a tie/vest matching the Bridesmaids. For whatever reason, for me, it cheapens the classic look of the tuxedo. Zeb and I have been to a gazillion dances together so he’s tried just about every special cut of tuxedo.

I’m thinking Tailored Lautner—snort, get it? I want Zeb in a fitted tailored classic tux with a bow tie. The groomsmen may or may not be in a skinny black tie.

Me likey the black buttons! Dare I say it? Fresh to Death! Awww I’m missing Jersey Shore already.

Now that we’ve dressed Zeb I want to get back to our original subject: my newly semi-enthusiastic groom. I never actually contemplated about what this ride probably felt like for him. Furthermore, I’ve never taken into consideration what he might feel like on that day. I’ve hoped for a few tears on his part but beyond that I haven’t given much thought. I have an idea how I’m going to feel (overjoyed, slightly stressed, amazed, in love) but what will he feel? Will I be able to know his joy? It’s easy to overlook his emotions because he’s not very vocal with them. He usually runs pretty even keel anyway. I’m starting to see it now with his increased interest in the wedding subject. So here we are, another month gone by—our 22nd being engaged—and getting really excited. We’re quickly crossing things off of our list, together. It’s a wonderful feeling.

Married bees, how’d your groom express his happiness on your wedding day?

Love this idea! My brothers did the bow ties because they thought they were pimp and wanted to stand out as ushers….As far as groom-emotions…Mr. L came soooooo close to crying it made me nearly cry lol

Mr. B is not the most emotional either, but Z, let me tell you, you will see the joy! The man is not a robot, he will have emotions and while they may not run down his face you will see them in his eyes and his smile!!!! =)
