Way back in May of this year, I was invited to take part in a runway inspired fashion spread for the fall issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. I was one of the real wedding industry peeps in the audience, and you can see me in three of the fashion shots!  Of course I have tons of fun behind the scenes pics to share with you!

We were told to dress “editor chic” in neutral shades of gray and tan. No black! (image via MS Weddings)
You can actually see my face (and legs!) in this shot.
Darcy’s Editor’s Letter — I’m in the group shot on the left…
Here’s a close-up of the group shot — it’s actually a picture I took of a computer screen. Pictured standing are Jackie from Merci New York, me, and Jillian from 100 Layer Cake. Sitting is Ronnie Rothstein (co-owner of Kleinfeld), Sylvia Weinstock, Darcy Miller, Mark Ingram, and Gabriella Risatti.
Images from the shoot are viewed instantly on this laptop.
These sheets lay out each shot in the spread.
All the goodies for the shoot.
Christian Louboutins, Stuart Weitzmans, Oscar de la Rentas, Badgley Mischkas, oh my!
Affordable earrings from Carolee!
But there were also priceless baubles from the likes of Harry Winston and Bulgari. These are the peeps here just to keep track of the diamonds!
How adorable are these pink bows?!

Lounging around between takes.
Framing the perfect angle
Doesn’t this fashionable group look like they’re actual editors attending a fashion show?  They look like they’re off the pages of The Sartorialist.
I thought that some people came prepared to look the part with adorable little notebooks, but it turns out they were a prop — but of course!
Flanked by Jackie of Merci New York and a pregnant Jillian of 100 Layer Cake.
My favorite cake baker extraordinaire Sylvia Weinstock.
This gorgeous space is the Ukranian Institute in Manhattan, and it’s available for weddings!
I spy Darcy Miller!
How gorgeous is the detail on this dress?
Almost as gorgeous as this coat!
The shoot lasted all day, and between the editors, photographers, models, fashion stylists, hair stylists, make-up artists… there must have been at least 30 people from the Martha Stewart team. And of course that doesn’t include all of us in the audience!   It’s amazing just how many people and how much work goes into a single shoot – I’ll never look at an editorial spread the same again.
The fall 2010 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings featuring this shoot is on stands now.
Do you have any burning questions about the shoot? Just let me know and I’d be happy to answer!
