Hey Hive! I need some help for Mr. E. Back in the day, I mentioned the ties we selected for the dads, groomsmen and ushers, but we had yet to pick one for the groom.

We did end up finding another slate tie for the best man, but still kept the navy one. We thought this could be a possibility for Mr. E.

The only reason why I’m not gung ho on this look was because I didn’t feel like Mr. E would stand out enough.

During another shopping trip I found a blue and green tie (very similar to my original inspiration picture) and picked it up. 60% off? Yes please!

Mr. E is happy with either tie, but do you think I should keep looking?

If you have seen another tie (possibly online) that you think would look killer with the ties for the groomsmen, let me know!

If you go with the similar tie, you can always give him a more elaborate bout to make him stand out (but I still like option 2 a ton!).

I think option B is great, the tie fits perfectly with everything else and he’ll stand out.

I like option B - but I would choose navy ties (like in option A for Mr.E) for the grooms men to match the navy in Mr.E’s striped tie.

Seconding kitchenkoala with thetiebar.com! They’re great - we got all the ties for our wedding there, with matching pocket squares. Ties are only $15, but the quality is awesome. Returns are easy too, if you order a few to see what you like best, you can return the others.

I definitely have an eclectic aesthetic, but I love the bold stripes! It contrasts well with the groomsmen’s smaller pattern.

i am doing the exact same colors and the funny thing is, we are doing just about the same ties for our guys from your previous post on ties from the tie bar! their ties are the blue and green strip but has the thin white strip in between! for my fiance’ he is not going to where a tie at all just to be different which i think is going to look great but all of those ties that you picked, i don’t think you could go wrong on!
