Mr. Starfish and I were college freshman when we met. We were introduced by a mutual friend. I had a huge crush on him from the moment we met. It turned out that the feeling was mutual. About two weeks after we were introduced, Mr. Starfish asked me out on Halloween, and the rest is history.
Halloween has had a special spot in my heart ever since.

Are there any holidays that have a special significance to you and your S.O.?
Cute!! We met the day before Valentines Day at my sorority date function and had our first “date” on Valentines day at Chick fil a!
Yay for holiday-relationships! My SO and I met when we were freshmen, and the night before Thanksgiving break, we stayed up all night watching movies together, until I had to catch the train home in the morning. The Sunday we all got back, we had a movie to finish and that’s when we had our first kiss. That’s what we mark as our anniversary, and last year it actually fell ON Thanksgiving!

We got engaged last Hallowe’en, so I totally understand the lure of the costume. 
My fiance and I first got to know each other at Thanksgiving. His Mom invited me to come out and stay overnight in the guest room (they live an hour out of the city I live in) and just go to school with him the next day. Well, boy oh boy, I had no idea this is where that path would lead!
Halloween is special for us too!
We had already hung out a few times and I had secret crush-y feelings for him, but when we were together at a Halloween party I got up my courage and we flirted madly all night - he asked me out the next day!
9 year anniversary, coming up tomorrow! (And congrats to you too!)
We met on my nieces first birthday, and she will be our flower girl! He proposed on christmas, which was already one of my favorites. Now it has an even more special meaning!
The day *after* valentine’s day is our dating anniversary. 
I told him I had other (non-romantic) plans that night (which was a Saturday) because I didn’t want the v-day pressure. And then he asked me to marry him on our 6-year anniversary. So Feb. 15 is our own personal Valentine’s Day.
Christmas is a huge special holiday for my future hubs & I. Our first date was christmas eve… and every christmas for my gift he takes me to disneyland for the day, also says he can’t wait to take our kids there, and we just revole in the christmas spirit. We also listen to music the day after thanksgiving and LOVE giving gifts. Christmas is definitely our holiday
our date-a-versary is tomorrow! we actually hung out on halloween (we already knew each other) but didn’t really go on a “date” (if you can call a party a date) until the next night. 8 years and counting! we just celebrated our 1 month anniversary last week!!
